I bet there are Master Chiefs fighting over who gets to take that thing out and drive it around.

Like driving a Moped, fun but don’t let your friends see you do it.

I sailed one of those at a carnival. There were a bunch other people trying to bump into me too.

They used to use that in log ponds at sawmills all over.

260hp diesel on a non-planing nineteen-foot boat. Your tax dollars at work! (Until waves exceed 3’)

I wouldn't want to be on that thing even in calm waters. Just moving around is going to get me seasick.

Well it is a tug. They have a lot horsepower to pull around things much bigger than them.

Must capsize really sWELL. Somebody call Hank Johnson.

Somebody’s gotta unhook the boat from the thing.

Like a land guy.

At least it has a mission, unlike the LCS (Little Crappy Ship).

Growing up my dad owned a Uniflite cabin cruiser. It was similar to this: https://www.boattrader.com/boat/1969-uniflite-36-7084762/

It was based on the same hull as the PBR’s but sported 390CU Interceptor (gas) engines instead of diesel motors. For such a large boat (31 foot) it was quite a hotrod! We used to water-ski behind it (we lived on the lake) and it could make 50+ miles per hour (don’t even ask how much gas it swilled!)

Old-school construction and mahogany interior, it was an impressive thing.

Except it’s not a naval ship.

It’s auxiliary equipment.
