I had the bright idea of going to the library on Sunday to get a few books. BAD IDEA.
I walk in and there is this woman sitting at a plastic fold out table. Granted I have the damn mask on but it is not over my nose.
I am walking past the table and this bit*& says, PUT YOUR MASK OVER YOUR NOSE SIR! SIR OVER THE NOSE! I gave her the dirtiest look and walk away.
This is the second time this has happened to me. At a local taco place another witch motioned with her hand for me to put the mask over my nose.
I have lost so much respect for people during this covid crap. Lot of their inner tyrant has come out and try to shame me for no reason.

LOL! Reliving their youth as hall monitors and crossing guards.
I wear the damn thing just because my goal is always to spend as little time in the grocery store as possible. I go to Walmart almost exclusively after they installed the self-checkouts which expedites that process even more. I know what I want and where to find it (until they jumble up the store again) and I have no mobility issues so I can move twice as fast as most and I see it as a tactical exercise in getting in and out as quickly as possible with the desired acquisitions. That does not allow time for arguing with idiots, and I view putting the mask on as part of the gear needed to accomplish my objective ;-)
I find the best time to go is mid-morning right after the Old Fart Hour, because parking spots are usually abundant and I can zoom in and around the malingering seniors with ease.
One of the best things about the new rules is the relative scarcity of rug rats in the stores. They should be perma-banned IMHO. And the arrows on the floors showing the one-way aisles? They’re like public IQ tests. However they don’t accomplish anything because if I comply with them I end up racing down one aisle that I don’t need anything from just to hook a U at the end to get onto the aisle I want while showing that I am capable of knowing which way an arrow is pointing.
I use nasal filters, if Karen gets feisty I will take it out and hand it too her and hope for a nice slippery gross hanger on.
That's the problem with the way much of this has been handled.
State or local government directs businesses to enforce mask rules at risk of closure.
Business owner or manager, fearing closure, directs employee to stand by the door and enforce mandates with patrons. Employee, fearing loss of job, stands by the door and does as told by boss.
The patron being told to wear a mask is being confronted by somebody who probably has no desire whatsoever to enforce a mandate, but every desire in the world to keep their job. I'm sure there are exceptions and some people who are mask crusaders, but I don't think, since last spring, I've been told to put on a mask by anybody who really wouldn't have rather been doing something else.
haha i love it
We have a “mask mandate” here since August 11th, which has just been extended a 2nd time to now around Thanksgiving.
One of the (democrat) city council members is all in a stir about the fact that the POLICE DEPARTMENT officers have not yet ticketed even ONE person for not wearing a mask, when required. Something like 166 complaints had been called in to the police dept, but no one has been “caught”.
Because the police probably have nothing better to do than drive all over the city, hoping to “catch” some non-compliant who refuses to wear a mask AND doesn’t qualify for any of the several exceptions, right?
I guess they should have authorized a few hundred thousand in police overtime, to adequately ENFORCE the mask mandate, to make the liberals happy.
Thanks
“These people are getting experience to serve on HOA boards”
Isn’t that the truth??
At least you’re trying to wear it. I think authority goes to people’s heads
Also busybody knowitall women bumping heads with old stubborn dudes masculinity isn’t a good mix ha, people take things personal. It’s just weird unfortunate times and hopefully we can all get through it
Bicycles tend to be a bit fragile, and the tires are easily punctured, too. Just sayin'.
Maybe try removing the mask before you sip your coffee.
So I either have to deal with foggy glasses or remove my glasses altogether.
I joke that when I walk into a prop arc at night because I removed my glasses and couldn't see it, I'll be counted as a COVID death.
"Did you hear that Chief died of COVID?"
"How'd that happen?"
"He walked into spinning rotor blades and got his head chopped off."
"Damn. COVID sure is deadly."
Maybe try removing the mask before you sip your coffee.
I also set my coffee cup down on it a few times giving it that nice brown ring look.:)
You only need the mask over your nose if you are doing surgery
“Try arresting me and I hope you are really rich”
“Why aren’t you wearing a mask?”
“I believe in science”
Why would you need a mask on the deck of an aircraft carrier?
Wear your mask properly. The woman did not make the law, but is tasked to enforce it. If you cant be arsed to pull your mask up half an inch to cover your nose, then you should just not wear a mask at all and stay home.
Masks do not impede your breathingits all mental. If you truly cannot breathe through the mask, then you suffer from diminished lung capacity and shouldnt be out and about anyway.
And the enforcers were allowed to walk out of there?
This whole Liberal sham has put BS ‘power’ and authority in the hands of people who otherwise couldn’t be responsible to house sit your cat.
Small and ignorant people are positively GA-A about power, any flipp’n way they can get it.
