Ever since he can remember, 15-year-old Ben Simpson has eaten only sausage.

His limited dietary preferences began when his mom Wendy Hughes began weening him off breastmilk. Soon, his pickiness gave way to several years of consuming only breakfast-style sausages and water, three times a day, every day.

Hughes, 55, told SWNS that she was at her wit’s end by the time she called David Kilmurry, a cognitive behavioral hypnotherapist who believed he could shake the teenager’s bizarre eating habits — a clinical condition called Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).

I could cure him in 5mins from eating sausage: make him watch *WHAT* goes into that grinding machine. Same for hot dogs. Full disclosure: I like them both, but not every meal, every day.

My daddy would have let us starve. We ate what was served. If we tried to out stubborn him( couldn’t be done), we got oatmeal, nothing else. I learned early not to fight every little thing and pick very carefully a hill to die on.

Yes, and some cereals were more than 75% sugar. I think Super Orange Crisp was 80% sugar.

I developed a strong affinity for shrimp cocktail, garden salad with thousand island dressing, new york strip, medium and baked potato all the way. Key lime pie for dessert. When I told my parents I wanted it every night they said I could have it again next year on my birthday.

If you watch the video at the source, there is a scene showing his arms at the very end of the video, and he looks like an Auschwitz prisoner. His arms and elbows look emaciated, like maybe a two or three year old.

Humorous but I think you would get malnutrition and ill on an all sausage diet. Such as scurvy from no vitamin D.

A bit thin - low-carb diets will do that....but he had a sausage wrapped in a bun on the video, so there’s at least a little exaggeration.

Does he date girls? Because I think by the time you’re 28 females are not going to look favorable on that behavior. How do you take them out to dinner?
