Ever since he can remember, 15-year-old Ben Simpson has eaten only sausage.
His limited dietary preferences began when his mom Wendy Hughes began weening him off breastmilk. Soon, his pickiness gave way to several years of consuming only breakfast-style sausages and water, three times a day, every day.
Hughes, 55, told SWNS that she was at her wits end by the time she called David Kilmurry, a cognitive behavioral hypnotherapist who believed he could shake the teenagers bizarre eating habits a clinical condition called Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).

Yeah...that just cracked me up!
There’s “overweening.” There’s “underweening.” But there’s no “weening.”
What’s up with that?
I saw that movie...”Night of the ARFIDs”.
Those plants had an eating disorder. They only ate people.
Same here.
Yep.
My younger one got very picky, even more so than my older one, at around the age of 2...Many of the things he would eat, he stopped eating..He mostly wanted stuff like pancakes, waffles, chicken nuggets, pizza, corndogs, fries..It had nothing to do with enabling him, when they are picky, they are picky..Finally, when he was perhaps 10 or 11 years, he stopped being so particular about what he ate.
My nephew, who is now 28 years of age, eats only Cheerios and milk. No other solid foods whatsoever. Been this way since he was a young kid. Apparently it has no obvious ill effects on him. Very odd...
If my children had had their way as toddlers, they would have eaten nothing but chicken nuggets and fries all through childhood.
A night or two of going to bed hungry was the cure.
I thought this was a Cory Booker thread. Sorry.....
Oh,stop it.I had 5 kids,#4 was a picky eater,he just was. Not my fault.......and he got over it in his late teens.

Leni
He was doing the Carnivore Diet before it was cool.
Has been cured... like ham.
That’s some seriusly rotten parenting. Should have stopped before he was old enough to leave home, go to the store or a restaurant.
BS.
Some people just are that way. My husband is terribly picky (but I think his grandma maybe spoiled him just making what he wanted all the time...his mom said that). Im pretty picky but not like that.
Our son is mucho picky. He just is. Hes been made to try things whatever I cook, but he still holds fast to what he likes.
Im praying he will change as a teen. Be more like my side of the family. Sure would be nice to have people truly appreciate the cooking my mother taught me well.
Maybe uncle Chester found a way to feed him after mommy took the tat away.
They always have to blame women.
Could have been weeing....I mean it is a sausage.
