New research into the minds of crows has revealed a jaw-dropping finding: the canny corvids aren't just clever - they also possess a form of consciousness, able to be consciously aware of the world around them in the present. In other words, they have subjective experiences.

And my parrot. He figured out fast how to train his human to comply with his every whim. :-)
ROTFL
Ya got me!! Kudos
Hippos are interesting creatures. I saw a video of one pick up what appeared to be a 10 foot croc in its mouth, and shook the thing in the air like a rat being shaken by a terrier.
That was pretty scary to me. They always looked so...docile and fat. Then I found out more people (500 a year) are killed by hippos than any other animal.
Wow.
They are a 747 and they can talk. Have you ever seen a crow funeral?
Dogs, horses, chimpanzees and Orcas can also figure stuff out. But they don’t make airplanes or rockets. Or worship God.
They are capable of Murder. Although, if it's only two crows, it would be merely attempted murder.
A very astute analysis.
Ha!! and Caw!!
LOL- good one
don’t have to be a phd to know this
our “intelligent” are actually incredibly stupid
My Dog caught and Killed a crow once in our backyard, for the next 3 months we had thousands of crows in our yard
I was thinking of Odin’s ravens, Hugin and Munin (thought and memory) who flew around Midgard and reported what they found.
That reminded me of the condor that was injured when young and nursed back to health by a man in South America and returns to visit him from time to time.
I am a Crow legend, feeder of the Murder....
Just gave them a nice piece of Dave’s Killer Bread. Been feeding a dozen black lives that do matter to me for about 11 years...
My late ex FIL had a pet crow when he was a boy. It would follow him as he walked to school then fly back to the farm for the day then fly back and wait for him when school let out.
I had heard them yipping at night in the woods behind the house and thought there were 2 or 3.
Thursday and Friday they were much more vocal and instead of just yipping they are howling like wolves.
Never heard them do that.
Saturday, about midnight they started up again but real close.
I went out with a pistol and shine a light on the tree line about 40 yds up the hill.
Saw about 6-10 sets of eyes.
Then 4 of them came out of the woods, single file, down the hill to about 30 yds up from me and spread out across the hill and just stopped, looking at me.
Very spooky, with those glowing, green eyes.
I take the rifle when I go out now.
Oh I bet they LOVE Daves Killer Bread there are the best seeds and nuts in there!! Like filet mignon for birds!!
“Caw caw caw”
You have no idea how many times I heard that while growing up. Yep, my last name is Crow.
I spoil them! Sometimes I give them pine nuts and sesame seeds. I will at least wind up in Crow heaven.
