Ah, I checked and saw what the discrepancy is. Papua New Guinea, same island but different country, had a big earthquake in their highlands. I see the word Papua by itself and think, “Papua, Indonesia.” So of course, PNG’s earthquakes don’t show up on an app which is configured to show a particular country’s earthquakes. That’s why I didn’t see the PNG earthquake.
Same island, two different countries.
Without doing any research on it, I would think that Greenland and Norway have earthquakes on their own, so a 5 would not be all that unusual. My experiences with mag 5 earthquakes is that they get my attention, but aren’t really that awful. I’ve never experienced an awful, destructive earthquake.
An addendum added just before posting: I did some quick research. Earthquakes in Greenland and Norway ARE unusual, therefore a 5 would be very unusual. I do not stand by any of my information in these last two paragraphs.

During the entire Bush 2 administration, the word that came after the word “president” to the media was Clinton. The media never said President Bush. They said THE president or Mr. Bush, with a divisive emphasis on the word Mister.

Waiting for cable guy, not that he will tell us what is wrong but will rule out whether our signal is good or bad.
A bad modem is probably the culprit.
I did not get a final recommendation about needing glasses for several months after my cataract surgery. Part of the reason for waiting was because people often continue to improve for several months. At the end I did not need any prescription glasses.
It’s a great idea to have a rally instead of the second debate. I remember when Trump refused to participate in one of the primary debates and instead had a rally/fundraiser for several military helping organizations. Of course he got attacked mercilessly about the money not getting to the various military organizations immediately.

Just heard on the radio that the debate commission is going for a virtual debate and Trump said NO.
If they can’t debate in person he won’t do it.
I heard that neither the Dims or R's were told of the change. I'm not sure if that is true, but if so, has Joe sent out a strongly worded statement that he too is upset with the change?
I'm sure we will be waiting for a while on that one.
She helps Trump by getting him back on track and by bringing up topics that would be helpful to him. During that interview I realized that one of the reasons Trump virtual interviews are so engaging is because he does not wait until the other person finishes their entire statement before he begins his response. Most virtual interviews have the silent three or four seconds for transmission between each person’s comment, which makes the back-and-forth quite awkward. With Trump, it is as if he were sitting next to the other person..
