Almost two-thirds of young American adults do not know that 6 million Jews were killed during the Holocaust, and more than one in 10 believe Jews caused the Holocaust, a new survey has found, revealing shocking levels of ignorance about the greatest crime of the 20th century.
According to the study of millennial and Gen Z adults aged between 18 and 39, almost half (48%) could not name a single concentration camp or ghetto established during the second world war.
Almost a quarter of respondents (23%) said they believed the Holocaust was a myth, or had been exaggerated, or they weren’t sure. One in eight (12%) said they had definitely not heard, or didn’t think they had heard, about the Holocaust.

History teaching is so messed up now. For some reason at the AP level they do not teach history but how to read and interpret documents.
They sure aren’t taught that Bill Ayers’ bunch speculated about killing 25 million in the 1970s.
I do find this odd though, because the Holocaust was always a huge subject in school when I was in High School.
But that was nearly 18 years ago now too :/
The progressives and Commies erasing history for a couple generations now, at least, via public school indoctrination. No surprise.

My standard comment on the youth is that if a Biden Administration said, “We need to round up the Jews and put them in camps”, most young people would shrug and respond, “If you say so.”
But it seems unlikely to me that the Jews would be the target next time. But the sheeple are standing by, waiting to follow what ever order they get from the Left.
It’s obscene what the left has done to the educational system.
Holocaust museums are important. HISTORY... is important.
I don’t know how this is possible. It seems like every single year my kid had to read about the holocaust all through middle school. The book ‘Making Bombs for Hitler’, for example, is used in schools all over and is about a jewish kid forced to ... you guessed it ... make bombs for Hitler. Just one example.
Looks like the “so called browning of America” might end up being of interest to Ben Shapiro after all. Blacks and hispanics don’t care about the Holocaust or Israel.

I have to agree with you, pepsi junkie. All my kids read “Diary of Anne Frank” about five times for school. It was required reading every year it seemed. There were several other Holocaust books as well. It was at the point that I felt the ONLY history they were being taught was the Holocaust. Perhaps it is school states/districts that differ?
