Supreme Court justices and circuit court judges hire 4 law clerks every year. RBG was on the bench for 40 years (27 at SCOTUS and 13 at DC Circuit). That's 160 law clerks. During that time, she hired only ONE black law clerk, meaning that only 0.6% of her hires were black.

Please stay safe. Am just checking in today. The saws were busy before dawn. Large truck loaded with the last of the neighbors logs and the first of mine. Mine with blue paint his with orange. We needed to pick up a couple of things at HD and Walmart so headed out from Brunch at Cracker barrel.

Was headed home and saw a sign for “Barn Sale”. Thinking it might be an auction or yard sale we followed the sign. Turns out it was a fantastic tall festival at a farm that helps pay the expenses for the Lutheran school that sits right out there in the middle of the corn fields. ( Both “Miss America” and John Melloncamps family attend it). Excellent school.

Great crafts, artist creations, music, food and antiques. Bought a couple of hand made wooden spoons and a black walnut cutting board with shape of tree left intact and a much smaller hickory one. Also a couple of hand woven hot plate holders and two bags of fresh caramel popcorn.

A gorgeous fall day here. Very few people wearing masks. Lots of smiles. Praying that the rest of the country get back to our normal soon. When we got home the last load of logs for the day was heading out. They took even the smaller branches of the white oak. ChaChing.

Tomorrow more foundation prep on home. Slow but sure. Almost have the entrance way cleared. Ready to bring those giant trusses in.

No to try to catch up here. No way I can keep up with POTUS. Good news Paul and I wore our TRUMP swag. Many others were also and we received many compliments on our attire!
