I'm no political campaign expert, but wouldn't a presidential candidate generally know tomorrow's schedule at least a day in advance? Calling a lid first thing in the morning seems . . . unplanned. Almost as if you need to see how the candidate is doing that day.— Scott Adams (@ScottAdamsSays) September 24, 2020

I don't get why this is mystifying. Trump says crazy stuff that can't be defended other than to dismiss as 'he didn't mean it the way it sounded'; media spends day talking about a coup; Biden decides to lay low, keep quiet, and reap the benefit. Moral: Don't say crazy stuff.— Andy McCarthy (@AndrewCMcCarthy) September 24, 2020

Joe Biden has just released his interior decorator's plans for redesigning the Oval Office in case he wins.
I find this comparison apt and amusing.
Morning, Pax!
Getting cooler and nicer here too.
This is 2nd post to you, deleted the 1st as I was ranting about our insurance company that keeps screwing up with son’s payment.
Felt good to rant and then delete. lol
Protestors are now going restaurant by restaurant to chant at diners on Beach Dr. in St. Pete. A lot of diners yelled back, starting multiple confrontations.
This one was the most significant. Protestors took over a couples table. Not sure why they were targeted specifically.

Durham Probe Looks at Clintons, Raising Questions

John Durham, the Connecticut U.S. attorney who is spearheading an investigation into the origins of the Russia probe, has branched out to look into allegations that the Clinton Foundation broke the law.
The New York Times reported that Durham’s team has reached out to law enforcement officials about the Clinton probe and how they conducted the investigation that began in 2015. Among other claims, the organization is alleged to have sought donations in exchange for backing the sale of the Canadian company Uranium One, which had links in the U.S., to the Russian atomic energy agency Rosatom.
No evidence has been discovered that warrants indictments being issued in the matter, despite claims from President Donald Trump and other Republicans that the Clintons former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were corrupt.
Durham’s team is investigating how and why, beginning under former President Barack Obama, the Department of Justice kicked off its Russia probe that targeted several people connected to Trump and his campaign.
The request to learn about the Clinton probe is an effort to compare how the two investigations were conducted, according to the Times. But some view it as evidence that the Durham investigation is political in nature and is designed to help Trump who defeated Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election.
The Clinton Foundation told the Times, “The Clinton Foundation has regularly been subjected to baseless, politically motivated allegations, and time after time these allegations have been proven false.”

For the first time in its 114-year history, the Times Square ball drop in New York City on New Year’s Eve will happen without a crowd.
The announcement that the annual event will go virtual follows recent news that the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will also be held virtually, as the city continues to battle the coronavirus pandemic.
“This year there will be significantly new and enhanced virtual, visual and digital offerings to complement whatever limited live entertainment or experiences still in development will take place in Times Square,” said president of the Times Square Alliance Tim Tompkins.
Thank you, I will never let you down!

Michael Caputo receives ‘metastatic head and neck cancer’ diagnosis

Michael R. Caputo, the East Aurora political consultant at the center of controversy over the Trump administration’s Covid-19 messaging, has been diagnosed with cancer.
Assemblyman David J. DiPietro, R-East Aurora, acting as Caputo’s spokesman, said Thursday that the Health and Human Services spokesman on leave from his assistant secretary post has “squamous cell carcinoma, a metastatic head and neck cancer which originated in his throat.”
“He is now home in Western New York, resting in the loving arms of his family, under the watchful eye of Jesus Christ,” DiPietro said in a written statement.
Caputo, who was diagnosed after surgery last week for a lump on his neck at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Md., has yet to determine where further treatment will take place, he said Thursday.
Caputo said he entered the National Cancer Institute at the urging of a Coronavirus Task Force doctor who noticed the lump, and that the president directed arrangements for his admission and had checked on him.
“The Caputo family wants to thank President Donald Trump and Secretary Alex Azar for their friendship and support,” DiPietro said Thursday, referring to the HHS secretary.
I guess you’re pretty close to Louisville? Unfortunately I guess most bigger cities are liberal. We’re lucky here that Nashville is split, 50/50. So it doesn’t ruin the voting for the rest of the state. Memphis does but there is enough of the rural areas.
I was thinking last night how good it would be to be near a bigger city. I had to take my cat to the emergency vet and the drive was an hour. With cataracts that make the lights look huge. And then that friend of mine in Louisville can get her autologous for $200 where I pay $400 for basically a mail order. There’s just things that are easier near a bigger city.
I’ve seen some pretty fancy shapes made in
cappuccino foam, but this one’s the best!
