I think Levine has acknowledged he was wrong.

“Make conservatives want to be teachers. If we stop indoctrinating kids, fewer SJW will be churned out as journalists & other professions, and conservatism or at least a somewhat a love of America will permeate society again.”

That’s good, I hadn’t thought of the follow-up effect. That less professions would be overwhelmingly liberal.

I got my teaching credential in Texas through a grant they had to transfer people from the science jobs to teaching. There were three of us engineers in the group. All three of us quit teaching after one year. I only made it six months.

The problems for all of us was the administrations. There was no disciplining any of the kids, and actually teaching them wasn’t important. We got kids at all different levels, most of them incapable of doing that year’s work. That could be why conservatives don’t go into teaching. We actually want to be doing something for our pay.

So it will come down to relying on someone to re-do the ballots. Shaking my head. One has to wonder about how many were really messed up? Here we go again on voting fraud. It seems to never end.

The teachers unions are nothing but political. That’s one of the main problems. All public employee unions should not be able to have PACs that donate to any local, state or federal candidate.
I was CFO for a PEU in California. Every politician is bought and paid for. As one of their flyers said, “hire your own boss!”.

Did he? Okay that’s good. I know Glenn Beck did it bigly, on Twitter.

We actually want to be doing something for our pay.

Exactly 1 of the problems. There is more money to be made outside of teaching, especially in the early years.

Plus, as you say, the administration will beat down on any person who speaks their conservative mind, where as admin will encourage the liberal policies.

I'll probably get flamed, & I could be wrong, but it seems to me, in general the people who gravitate to teaching are liberal leaning to begin with. They feel it is their duty or calling to help people & nurture students. That's good, but then they go over the line & start indoctrinating. This is reinforced by more militant teachers & admin. Those who stick with it for years are more of the hard-core agenda pushing types & now-a-days their mission is to re-educate the population.

As they say, if you can’t do anything else successfully, be a teacher!
Which is actually sad, as teaching our children should be the most honorable profession.

I was a teacher for a time, but it was helping struggling college students. I was amazed at the people passed out of the school system without basic skills.
And I taught ESL for years part time in evenings. I actually enjoyed teaching those people.

Two Campaign Staffers For Ilhan Omar’s GOP Challenger Shot In Minneapolis, Suspect Arrested

JORDAN LANCASTER REPORTER September 17, 2020 8:41 AM ET

FTA
Two campaign staffers for Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar’s challenger, Lacy Johnson, were reportedly shot Monday in Minneapolis.

One victim, a 17-year-old man, died at the scene, MPR News reported. The other victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A suspect was arrested Thursday morning in connection with the crime after a police pursuit, the Minneapolis Police Department told the Daily Caller.

“It is shocking and unnecessary acts of violence like this that prove why change is needed now more than ever in our community,” Johnson said, adding that the shooting didn’t occur during any campaign events and that they believe it has no connection to the campaign.

The two victims were standing outside of a service station Monday afternoon when they were approached and shot by the suspect or suspects, who then fled on foot, a preliminary police investigation found according to the Minneapolis Police Department.

The identities of the victims will be released in the coming days, the Minneapolis Police Department said in a press release.

Great letter to editor. I think you made your point well. Everyones style for writing is different. So stylistic changes might be suggested by others. Im not a grammar cop so don’t even notice when people make oppsies here on the TT

Word used to have a tool section that you could do a lot of modifications and also word count.

I have it on my computer & will see if I can find out. I haven’t used that feature for a LONG time.

Morning plans changed as I managed to do laundry with the utility tub plugged(I had soaked the items in bleach water first and the plus moved & soak water drained... I neglected to take plug out & it resealed. Had a large load with pre-soak and extra rinse (but of course) all over the kitchen and utility room. Hour and a half clean up Ill never get back

Jenny gets home today at three. I still have to sort my meds/vitamins (it takes me awhile to do that. I take a lot of supplements.) Cut up a pineapple and do 4 areas of spot cleaning on the carpet where a naughty female kitty(not mine) has numerous indiscretions.

No high water. Sally was just a depression when she came through over night. No damage to our house. Trying to conserve battery power so only online every so often. We are well and were never in any danger. I live in Auburn, Alabama so you can look on a map and see everything is fine.

Hey, peeps!

Tile is still being installed in the new bathroom and it’s going to be very pretty.

I’m so excited!!!

I’m guessing he will finish the tile tomorrow but it might take Saturday, too.

The tub is *still* in the box on the porch and I don’t know how much longer I can wait so i’m considering filling it up with the water hose and diving into the icy water just because.

I think it would at least curb my impatience.

;-)

While that tub is out on your porch, you should make good use of it & film a Cialis commercial.

EXCLUSIVE: Fed up with YouTube ‘crushing conservative voices,’ Dan Bongino acquires part-ownership of video-sharing competitor

by Andrew Mark Miller, Social Media Producer & Will Ricciardella, Social Media Director | | September 17, 2020 09:44 AM

FTA
Conservative radio host Dan Bongino has acquired an equity stake in the online video-sharing platform Rumble with hopes of competing with YouTube by establishing a platform where free speech is protected.

“We need a home,” Bongino told the Washington Examiner in an exclusive interview. “We need somewhere to go where conservative views won’t be discriminated against.” Bongino, who has 600K subscribers on YouTube, says 80% of his daily episodes of The Dan Bongino Show have been demonetized for its conservative content. “I’m sick of it, and I wanted to do something about it.”

Launched in 2013, Rumble “provides video creators a way host, manage, distribute, create over-the-top feeds and monetize their content,” according to its website.

On Monday, Bongino plans on posting The Dan Bongino Show exclusively to Rumble before uploading it to his YouTube channel. As of September, The Dan Bongino Show is the 12th most popular podcast on Apple Podcasts, according to podcastinsights.com.

Putting his money where his mouth is has become a habit for the conservative firebrand. His Rumble venture follows his successful launch of The Bongino Report in 2019, which came as a response to the recent liberal shift at The Drudge Report, which was once the premier conservative news aggregation site.

“The launch was incredible. I don’t know any other way to say it,” he told the Wrap about the December launch, adding that the traffic spike forced him to upgrade his server. “By noon it just exploded, and by the evening it was nuclear. Traffic never really slowed down.”

In June of this year, Bongino announced a partnership with the social media networking service Parler in response to censorship of conservative ideas and accounts on Twitter.

For Bongino, however, exploiting underserved markets isn’t about the money, it’s about giving conservatives a medium to share ideas and news that Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube censor. In a highly competitive market, and with a large, active following on social media, Bongino never shies away from using his following to drive traffic to his competitors.

“I’ve decided it’s time to fight back against the Tech Tyrants,” Bongino said about the Parler move. “I’m beyond fed up with the censorship and bias of Twitter and Facebook, and I’m not going to stand back and watch as they target us. As a result, I’ve taken an ownership stake in Parler, the hottest social media alternative in the market right now.”
