Ashley Mason, 31, was charged on Wednesday for her involvement in the death of Desmond Joshua, who had recently started working at a Burger King in Orlando.
The Aug. 1 shooting followed an argument involving the Burger King’s manager, Joshua and a woman, whom police officials later identified as Mason. Police said Mason had allegedly grown irate over the long wait time at the fast-food restaurant’s drive-thru, where she ordered $33.11 worth of food.
She was refunded her money and was ordered to leave, but not before she "threatened to bring her 'man' to the restaurant," the affidavit states.
According to the police document, subsequent video footage showed that Mason left the Burger King parking lot and returned shortly thereafter with her husband, Kelvis Rodríguez Tormes.
Rodríguez Tormes allegedly "demanded to fight" with Joshua and the pair moved to the parking lot, where he "placed [Joshua] into a headlock and began to choke him," the affidavit states.
As the men were fighting, Rodríguez Tormes allegedly said: “Bust him if he touches me,” according to a description of cellphone footage from the document. Witnesses broke up the fight.

He opened his window and stated: “You got two seconds before I shoot you," the affidavit states.
Moments later, he shot Joshua a single time in the chest and drove away. The 22-year-old was rushed to a local hospital, but could not be saved.
According to the affidavit, witnesses told investigators they also watched Mason take her husband’s gun and point it at restaurant employees before handing it off to Rodríguez Tormes.
When she got into her car, she allegedly had attempted to hit Joshua.

That sort of thing ramps up in a situation such as we have now. The lockdown and limited access to normal entertainment outlets for a long period of time makes large numbers of people testy and quarrelsome and random crap happens more and more. The riots are probably partially attributable to that.

Its the wimmin doing this crap, because they’re losing their colective crap being hyped about the overblown virus, losing jobs, having to be around husbands and kids all day, and believing they can attack anyone doing something they dont like, because thats all they see on tv and movies, so they can do it in real life too.
Recently, I was delayed at a Chic-Fil-A. Don’t know why. Cars were moving okay and then like a 15-20 minute delay. When I finally got to the window, I was given an apology and a plastic coupon for either a free chicken sandwich and drink or chicken nuggets and a drink. That has never happened to me before. I thought it was a good customer service technique.
It’s a good question and a fair question but the real answer involves confronting some disturbing home truths about multiple generations who are ill-educated, emotionally incontinent, impatient, lack impulse control, cannot connect cause and effect, and who therefore believe there are no consequences because they cannot conjure them through experience, intelligence or imagination.
Trash culture is a significant and growing portion of all demographic segments. Technology has filtered down to the lowest common denominator meaning the ignorant are as conversant with the world via social media as published writers used to be via books. Trash culture is celebrated, reinforced, perpetuated. Tattoos, TikTok videos, selfies, a life spent in sweat pants.
In those people’s world fast food is a serious thing. It offers stimulus, reinforcement, and a usually reliable timetable even as it’s cheap and non-nutritious. Upsetting their Pavlovian schedule is like tossing someone out of an airplane without a parachute. Disorientation, panic, anger, desperation follow.
The now-common use of potent cannabis, often on a daily basis, has further warped their perception, reactions and permanently altered their brain anatomy and chemistry. Alcohol and opioids are also usually involved.
The result: zombies who may throw random tantrums with deadly results.

The victim actually left the sanctuary of the restaurant to go out into the parking lot and fight the thug who shot him?
Shaking my head over that, too stupid, right up there with jumping off a bridge on a “Dare”!
Earlier story stated the victim had done some jail or prison time and was working to straiten out his life, surely he should have known better than to get into a “Macho” contest with a burly thug?

if that is a picture of him on the other side of her, he looks Caucasian to me. My eyes are not the best and I could be wrong but he still looks to be of the White persuasion.
A real man would tell his “woman” to shut and go home.
If he had they would have had something besides Burger King for dinner and would not be in jail on murder charges.
Obviously Tormes in something other than a real man.
After court is over, time won’t mean a thing to her. Or him.
