so far we are good in Staten island. Lost power for a blink and then it went back on. I don’t know how long this is supposed to last whatever it is. Tropical storm or whatever.

My sister power is down in New Jersey

Here in my retirement village in Connecticut, our lines are underground. They can go out, but the electric company gives high priority to high-voltage feeder lines.

Thankfully, about 2 hours North of Philadelphia we have power.

Whatever will they do? Prepared much? I doubt it; like they say: what do we need farmers and ranchers for when we have Safeway?

Crazy hysteria about this storm.

The guy on the radio network news was so overwrought reporting there might be flash floods!

Oh my.

We are supposed to be scared of everything.

We are supposed to be scared of everything.

The media is always negative, doom and gloom.

Yup. At one point I got the weather alert on my phone for a “Tornado Warning.” The message said that a Thunderstorm that could form a Tornado was over my town. There was no thunderstorm, and thankfully no tornado. It’s all panic-porn.

Sister’s coastal home in Oriental, NC is without power and will probably be so for days.

Fortunately she is not in Oriental right now and brought her frozen meat out of her freezer when she left there.

Yes, they are acting like we have never had a storm before.

Even suggesting hunkering down and staying home until it subsides.

Give ‘em an inch and they steal your tape measure.
