And Mr. Drudge has done just that weaponized his site.
The reclusive blogger has targeted President Trump of late, posting many stories from liberal sites (which hitherto got little play on his site). No one knows why. But even Mr. Trump has weighed in on the change: I gave up on Drudge (a really nice guy) long ago, as have many others. People are dropping off like flies! the president tweeted in April.
I know a thing or two about Mr. Drudge: Ive known Matt (whom I call Doc because of his initials, MD) for more than 20 years and I ran the Drudge Report in the mornings for nearly four years. But even I hardly know the guy: I rarely saw him, and we talked on the phone only a few times a year (usually for hours, but not often).

Don’t what happened to Drudge, he was a true savior back in the days of the “I’ll boink anything” president and the” I’ll sell anything to the commies” wife
Drudge and Joe Scarborough are twins separated at birth
Does Matt Drudge even still own the Drudge Report? There have been rumors that he sold it. Maybe to Google.
If this version of events is true, it seems pretty petty on Drudge's part. If he is really a conservative and if he really does want something done about immigration it seems he's cutting off his nose to spite his face by trying to destroy Trump.
“he’s cutting off his nose to spite his face by trying to destroy Trump”
Yeah, there’s a lot of that going on.
I've never liked him, never bothered with his website.
Didn't have to, because anything he posted would immediately be reposted here.
His TV show showed him for the whiny little bitch he is.
Coulter used to have some sense. But her fixation on trying to get Trump to act imperiously was odd. It was like she aligned with Obama and the Democrats in promoting the Presidency to a kingship. Weird, in my opinion.
Who now?
So the rumors of a secret sale are untrue?
Or is this writer just not in the know? Or is a foreign (i.e., China) buyoff, instead of a buyout, a possibility?
Drudge is a Traitor to the Cause of Liberty
Drudge reminds me of David Brock. I wonder if they are an item now.
That IS petty. But I feel the same way the writers of National Review and Jonah Goldberg have gone on Trump. They hate him so much they are blindly helping Biden win.
