My daughter was visiting Florida from Mass....she was furlowed from Disney but still has not been layed off...she works from home...so I had to go,..
Did not go to the park but went to Disney Springs...
From what I can see Disney is going to have a long up hill battle..
Good for the the locals who have season passes and want to go for rides and leave..Lines are short...
THE resort was open but nothing else...no food except pizza and deli items.
The Boardwalk was dead...
Disney Springs had people but maybe 5%...a lot of the stores were closed..
Wearing a mask outdoors all the time will not work...it was 100 degrees the day I was there...if you covered your nose you were in trouble...so I just coved may nose if I was near someone...
Must admit the people in Mass.. are scared to death of the virus..if there like my daughter and grand children
There are youtube videos of people going to Disney World in the past few days. Short or zero lines. No crowds. Looks great.

Its a money vacuum, sucks it right out of your wallet.
Yes - then they redirect it to make gay films
Next day, I hit Epcot and LOVED it. It was fascinating, educational and fun. Same with Sea World, worth the time and the ticket....great place for adults and children alike.

Air traffic into Orlando has increased substantially over the past few weeks. Not as much as it used to be normally. Temperatures are in the 90s, feels like a hundred plus. High humidity and afternoon thunderstorms.
If you want to go, wait until the fall. :-)
Disney was pushing Gay Pride day or week when I drove past one year. While surfing for El Rushbo I heard local radio hosts warning parents not to take their kids to Disney World “when all the maricones will be everywhere”.
Not since 1974.
I went there 30 Years ago and I will never go back there again.
Don’t like their Political Ideas and they not that family friendly any more.
Thirteen years ago, yes. And nine years before that when I was a kid.
My Aunt took my ex and I as a graduation gift (high school), and I enjoyed it. We spent most of our time in Epcot, and it was during the food and wine festival, which was amazing.
That being said, I’ll ever go back again. It won’t be the same now that Disney is about to overdose on woke.
Been there 3 times. Best was Christmas week. Christmas music, poinsettias everywhere, fireworks. Stayed at Yacht Club so we could walk to Epcot. Years before stayed on site at cheaper place had to deal with busses and strollers.
Hi there,
Yes, I live in Seminole County, so the county just north of Orange (where Disney is.) Apparently, you have to wear a mask (no gaiters), but it’s like going to WDW back in the 70s. No waits for rides, no ridiculous lines.
Now, do I feel like going? Not really. I’d rather go to the mall or the beach.
RE: Has anyone on this site been to Disney in Orlando???
The last time I was there was 2018. Not again for me.
The long lines just to take a ride that I’ve been to many times is just not worth it.
Add this to the Covid-19 pandemic and it’s not worth going there anymore.
Five times. First time was when I was a kid the first year the park opened and was on a school day in November. The first 1/2 of the day there was hardly anyone there. You could ride the rides over and over again without waiting.
The other times were as I got older and were not as enjoyable until we learned you could rent little speed boats at the Contemporary resort and rip around the lagoon.
Hey, we were there, too—in ‘59! I still recall some of it, though I was but 3...living in San Diego.
There was an exposé written a few years ago featuring interviews with Disney employees who were working in the park during Gay Days, a week of disgusting events for sodomites in and around the Parks. Stories of men finding remote, and not so remote, locations for sex in public was just stomach turning. Used condoms and sex toys littered the park. Queers would make it a point to act sexually salacious in front of families with children in an obviously in-your-face display of domination of the park.
And Im probably painting a softened picture of this event.
Heck no. You wouldn’t catch me dead in that place right now.
Yes several times. I visited Disney Springs before they changed the name to it. So, its been a while.
My favorite things to do were the water parks. And Discovery Cove was excellent.
The shopping area you referred to was a nice evening thing to do.
Some friends of mine were there and wrapped up their vacation just in time. They closed the parks the next day.
I’m still coughing crap up 7 months later!
We had friends go this weekend. They are annual passholders and got some kind of invite to attend before others. Not quite sure about how that works. The lines to get in the gate were long and the distancing rules were impossible to follow. No fast passes allowed. Even so, they said they had a great time at the Magic Kingdom and were able to ride more rides than at any other time in recent history. FWIW
Our familys experience in August 1994 was the same. It was de facto child abuse! My BIL said we should leave and go to

We had a blast! Much cooler bc its in the Everglades-like micro climate. Lots of other reptiles. Gators jump out of the water for meat, best Xmas picture ever with a monstrous live snake and baby gator draped over the children....and to answer the question I know everyone has: the reptiles were not damaged in the making of the photo! ;)
