Excavators uncovered a seal and a bullae -- a seal impression use to sign documents or containers during ancient times -- in the Givati Parking Lot Excavation of the City of David in Jerusalem. These two artifacts were found next to the rubble of a structure that was destroyed during the 6th century BC by the Babylonians...
The researchers said the finding was very rare and reveals just how badly Jerusalem was damaged during the Babylonian destruction.
"The finding of the stamp and seal impression in the City of David indicates that despite the city's dire situation after the destruction, efforts were made to restore the administrative authorities to normal, and its residents continued to partly use the structures that were destroyed," explained Prof. Gadot and Dr. Shalev.
The seal impression was found on a large piece of clay, indicating that it was not used to seal a document, but something larger like a storage container or jar. The imprint is an image of a person sitting on a chair with one or two columns in front of him.
The excavators say this style of impression is characteristic of Babylonian culture. The person sitting on the chair is believed to be a king and the columns probably represent the Babylonian gods Nabu and Marduk.
The seal itself is made of a large, locally-made pottery shard.
Researchers also found other artifacts, including a broken pottery vessel decorated with the face of the god Bes on it.

Cool :)
It must take tremendous concentration to gradually unearth those ancient artifacts without damaging them. If I was trying to dig those up, I’d probably damage half of them. Just recognizing when there’s something there seems difficult. That object looks like a rock to me, but it’s apparently an artifact.
Archeology continues to confirm the Bible is correct.

“Archeology continues to confirm the Bible is correct.”
Every single day.
I’m reminded of a Russian scientist who was finally able to read the bible after the Soviet Union fell.
A western reporter interviewed him and saw a bible on a table in the scientists office. When asked about the bible the scientist listed his degrees, offices held and his professional accomplishments.
He then explained that finally being able to read the bible explained...EVERYTHING.
He flatly stated there was no hope of understanding human nature, the sciences, the planet, solar system and universe without a thorough knowledge of the bible.
Exactly so!! The scientists I put the most faith in are those who have faith. There is no way the universe could be the way it is without God. Period. If a scientist cannot believe in that, I cannot believe in that scientist.
I had a business scholarship in high school but he wouldn't allow it. Since I graduated at 17 it was out of my hands. I didn't go to college until I went through tuition reimbursement at work and majored in management.
I am able to sort of live that dream by watching it on TV and reading everything I can about it.
I'm so glad girls and women have more options now than I had in the late 60’s and early 70’s.
AMEN!!!
