Every single day.

I’m reminded of a Russian scientist who was finally able to read the bible after the Soviet Union fell.
A western reporter interviewed him and saw a bible on a table in the scientists office. When asked about the bible the scientist listed his degrees, offices held and his professional accomplishments.
He then explained that finally being able to read the bible explained...EVERYTHING.
He flatly stated there was no hope of understanding human nature, the sciences, the planet, solar system and universe without a thorough knowledge of the bible.

It sure does. My dream growing up was to be an archaeologist or a paleontologist but my dad 1) didn't believe girls needed to go to college and 2) there was no money to be made digging up old bones and other stuff. He said all girls needed to do was get married and have babies.

I had a business scholarship in high school but he wouldn't allow it. Since I graduated at 17 it was out of my hands. I didn't go to college until I went through tuition reimbursement at work and majored in management.

I am able to sort of live that dream by watching it on TV and reading everything I can about it.

I'm so glad girls and women have more options now than I had in the late 60’s and early 70’s.
