“Trust in Trump’s America is gone.” The coronavirus crisis has caused a dramatic deterioration in the European public perception of the US and left many believing the EU had become “irrelevant”, new polling finds.

The new survey by the European Council for Foreign Relations (ECFR) says the pandemic has traumatized Europeans and left them “feeling alone and vulnerable”.

The survey studied the views of Europeans towards the EU and notably its response to the coronavirus crisis and the results did not make for positive reading.

“There is a powerful sense among citizens of almost all surveyed member states that their country was largely left to fend for itself in dealing with the pandemic,” read the study. “Few respondents to the survey had a positive view of the EU’s coronavirus response. In no surveyed country do a majority of them see a positive change in the performance of EU institutions during the crisis,” the survey found. […]

“Now, Europeans’ trust in Trump’s America is gone. Many of them have been appalled by the country’s chaotic response to COVID-19; the lack of solidarity it showed with Europeans in the March 12th closure of its border to members of the Schengen area; and its lack of leadership in tackling the coronavirus crisis at the global level — or even engagement with the issue (beyond a war of words with the World Health Organization),” the study wrote. “Europeans have accepted the fact that Trump’s America is not necessarily a friend of Europe in a time of need.” …

And he went from that to being Gerhardt Schröder’s vice-chancellor between 1998 and 2005. Big friend of the “Palestinians” too, although they were able to have the press portray Schröder’s government as “pro-Israel” somehow.

sure...and USA is behind:

Belgium
UK
Spain
Italy
Sweden
France

in covid deaths per million.

even if AFP were reporting a factual/actual European Council for Foreign Relations survey (which it probably isn’t), it would only prove, yet again, that the people they surveyed were brainwashed by the daily lead on their FakeNewsMSM news bulletins claiming US is way ahead of the rest of the world in … cases.

lockdown the FakeNewsMSM. end the lockdown on the public.

Americans should shun Europe like the plague (Poland & Hungary excepted). They want to hate our @zzes, fine. Let them welcome Muslim tourists to replace us and our filthy Yankee dollars.

Oh, wait - the muzzies aren’t there as tourists. A French waiter in Paris who is rude to Muslims is likely to get his throat cut.

advance. As expected, the share price soared when the raid began. Soros dumped his shares, pocketing about $2.2 million in profit. Pébereau made money too, winding up with a 10-percent share of Société Générale. The socialist takeover faltered, however. Mitterand’s operatives failed to gain a controlling share of the bank.

French investigators began scrutinizing L’Affaire Société Générale in May 1990, but their probe stalled while Swiss authorities refused for six years to release critical evidence.

Several leading suspects died in the meantime. British media mogul Robert Maxwell was found floating dead in the Atlantic Ocean on November 6, 1991, after embarking on his yacht. Pierre Bérégovoy shot himself in the head -- twice -- on May 1, 1993. Lebanese banker Edmond Safra perished in a suspicious blaze set by unknown arsonists in his Monaco penthouse on December 3, 1999. Mitterand died of cancer on January 8, 1996.

In the end, only Soros was convicted. A Paris court found him guilty of insider trading on January 29, 2002. The Paris Court of Appeal ruled against him on March 24, 2005. The Cour de Cassation, France’s highest court, found him guilty once more on June 14, 2006.

Under French law, Soros could have been jailed for two years, but the French let him off with a $2.9 million fine....

While awaiting his next trial, Soros has busied himself buying influence among European elites.

At a speech in Brussels on November 20, 2006, Soros denounced America for lawless warmongering and praised Europe as “a model and motive force for a global open society”. He offered to finance Europe’s renaissance through his foundations, stating, “I am ready to support an Open Society Initiative for Europe”.

Next Soros launched the co-called European Council on Foreign Relations. Fifty dignitaries, including former presidents and prime ministers, have enrolled as members. The opening event will take place this Friday, November 9, at the German Foreign Ministry in Berlin.------ Soros Fights Felony Conviction Poe.com ^ | November 5, 2007 | Richard Lawrence Poe Posted on 11/5/2007, 6:56:07 PM by Richard Poe

Well, their anti-EU feelings are valid, I believe. The Soros-backed ECFR didn’t like that their “study” actually heard from the non-weenie segments of the population. And like I said, the anti-US parts are most likely fabricated.

“I would say the feelings about the EU are true here, but the feelings about the USA are completely made up in order to compensate for the ECFR’s shock over the bad feelings towards the EU in the poll.”

Very few Americans even think about the EU.

Have to agree with that. Problem is, the notion of a united Europe has been the fount of the worst anti-Americanism for about a century thus far. Might be time to learn a bit more about it.

I have a hard time believing anything related to anti-Americanism out of the Soros-funded ECFR, like I said earlier. The animosity towards the EU, however, I would believe.
