Trust in Trumps America is gone. The coronavirus crisis has caused a dramatic deterioration in the European public perception of the US and left many believing the EU had become irrelevant, new polling finds.
The new survey by the European Council for Foreign Relations (ECFR) says the pandemic has traumatized Europeans and left them feeling alone and vulnerable.
The survey studied the views of Europeans towards the EU and notably its response to the coronavirus crisis and the results did not make for positive reading.
There is a powerful sense among citizens of almost all surveyed member states that their country was largely left to fend for itself in dealing with the pandemic, read the study. Few respondents to the survey had a positive view of the EUs coronavirus response. In no surveyed country do a majority of them see a positive change in the performance of EU institutions during the crisis, the survey found. [ ]
Now, Europeans trust in Trumps America is gone. Many of them have been appalled by the countrys chaotic response to COVID-19; the lack of solidarity it showed with Europeans in the March 12th closure of its border to members of the Schengen area; and its lack of leadership in tackling the coronavirus crisis at the global level or even engagement with the issue (beyond a war of words with the World Health Organization), the study wrote. Europeans have accepted the fact that Trumps America is not necessarily a friend of Europe in a time of need.

I agree, the comments about the US are a made up narrative.
And this is Trumps fault because?
ECFR was founded in 2007 by Mark Leonard together with a council of fifty founding members, chaired by Martti Ahtisaari, Joschka Fischer, and Mabel van Oranje, with initial funding from George Soross Open Society Foundations, the Communitas Foundation, Sigrid Rausing, Unicredit and Fundación Para las Relaciones Internacionales y el Diálogo Exterior (FRIDE).Figured I would put that on the record before Wikipedia decides to cover it up.
Yes, what Euroweenies feel really matters to me.
I’m sure China will come to their aid when the next catastrophe strikes.
Frankly, I don’t care about so-called “global leadership”. The job of the US government is to take care of the US and its interests - period.
If the Yurps want to fund the Chicom mouthpiece WHO, then let them. We’ve carried the load for generations and despite the fact that we were paying way more than anybody else, it became a tool of China. Screw the WHO.
Europe will always be there when they need us.
Well, any Soros-funded organization such as the ECFR would automatically be against the USA, creating the false notion of “global leadership” to inspire tyrants to that old dream of world empire.
[[[Europe will always be there when they need us.]]]
And they will fight to the last American.
Ah, Joshka Fischer... now there is a familiar name. He was a Baader-Meinhoff terrorist known for throwing a Molotov cocktail at a policeman.
Joshka Fischer Baader-Meinhoff gang ping...
The feelings about the US are exactly what China paid for.
EU was amazingly ineffective.
Trust in Trumps America is gone.
As as side note to this thread, please consider the following.
Patriots are reminded that when PDJT went on state visit to England in 2019, it came out that only US news channel that goes to other countries is Trump-hating CNN.
And if such is the case, then given the way CNN has helped to weaponize pandemic against PDJT in the states, we probably dont want to know what European public thinks of PDJTs America.
Corrections, insights welcome.
Send “Orange Man Bad” federal and state government desperate Democrats and RINOs home in November!
Supporting PDJT with a new patriot Congress and state government leaders that will promise to fully support his already excellent work for MAGA and stopping SARS-CoV-2 will effectively give fast-working Trump a “third term” in office imo.
Joshka Fischer, nuclear plants and China:
Blame the MSM. Not Trump.
A Soros-funded CFR-wannabe think tank doesn’t like Trump—I’m shocked.
Well, one has to expect garbage like this out of an organization funded by Soros.
