A Facebook event calling for “American Patriots” to retake the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone in Seattle (CHAZ) is gaining momentum. The event is scheduled for July 4 and has nearly 2,000 RSVPs and more than 15,000 expressing interest as of the time of this article’s publication. Here is what you need to know.
The Facebook event is called “American Patriots Retake The Seattle Occupation Zone For America” and it’s scheduled for July 4 at 12 p.m. Pacific. The event’s cover photo reads: “Not Today Antifa” and has references to Berkeley, Portland, Charlottesville, and Boston.
The description reads:
On July 4th, Independence Day, a coalition of patriot groups and all who want to join are going to retake the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone for America. antifa members are illegally occupying public property and terrorizing small businesses in the neighborhood. American patriots have agreed to come together again, remove the barricades illegally obstructing traffic, and free the people in the zone.
We will meet at volunteer park throughout the morning and then in the early afternoon march on the CHAZ.
You do not need a bike to join. Any and all patriots with all vehicles are coming to this event.
We are not going to hurt anybody, break the law etc. We are simply going to tear down the illegal barriers on public property, clean up the mess these communist kids made, and return the police station over to Seattle Police Department control.

Going to be interesting to see how the police react to this. Will they try to stop the oncoming protesters, assist them by protecting them from assault during their peaceful protest, get out of the way, or start arresting them because Inslee and his merry people are committed to this. The Chaz people do not own the land and cannot legally barricade the streets without a parade permit. and can’t get one of those at all for this time length. This can really give the liberal government up here a real ugly problem. And if they stop the protesters, are they not supporting insurrection at that point? ‘Bout time something was done to force the issue.

The organizers cannot self-appoint their groups as representing the citizens of Seattle and Washington state. They would be no more than a group of vigilantes and it would end badly for everyone.
DJT should tell them to knock it off.
The citizens of Seattle are not rebelling. It is really up to them, if they want to demand a policy change by the Seattle city government or the State of Washington. Self-appointed “patriots” are not legitimate substitutes for the citizens of Seattle.

What does the new acronym “CHOP” stand for? I gather that the insurrectionists have changed the name to get rid of the word “autonomous,” but I haven’t seen any definition of the new name.

Apparently they realized “Autonomous Zone” meant that they couldn’t hit up surrounding areas for help/money.
Strange how some words mean things when some people want them to and then other words mean other things when it’s convenient.

While I understand the frustration and anger around this issue the best thing is to leave them alone and watch their 'glorious revolution' fail.
Let the people of Seattle who voted the mayor into office live the experience of their New Utopia.
Let them re-order their daily routine to cope with the disruption.
Let the mayor be seen aiding and abetting the criminals.
Let the mayor make ridiculous public statements Trump can tweet and ridicule.
Democrats are salivating at the prospect of Trump sending in the troops so they can say, 'SEE! We told you he is Hitler!'
This will turn into another Occupy Wall Street. People will slither away as their discomfort levels increase and they're reduced to infighting.
Time is not on their side even with the mayor helping them.
