Why do I think we’re getting into Chuck Norris territory, except substitute President Trump for Chuck Norris?

Researchers say this could be a sign that whitetips are able to hunt in deeper waters than previously assumed

Large Squid rise to shallower waters to hunt at night. It's more likely that a squid attacked the shark then. They are very aggressive.

The shark may have been using pilot whales as a way to detect deeper prey for it to feast upon - and that's when it found the giant squid that left it with scars.

Pure speculation. I doubt that this has ever been observed.

There is a theory that sharks have a particularly fondness for giant squid meat, with researchers claiming they are seen hanging out in an empty patch of ocean.

That may be true, but being cold-blooded sharks may have a problem digesting any food that they may catch in shallower waters. From an energy standpoint, why would a shark 'invest' that much to search for food that they can't really detect all that easily and where their intended prey can turn the tables on them?

I’m intrigued by animal fights in the wild. Nobody seems to want to F with a hippo or a rhino. Elephant about the only one willing to mix it up with either. Unless in numbers, Lions run from Rhinos like antifa at the sight of Hell’s Angels dudes.

A species of giant squid called the Humboldt squid sometimes makes into the waters off Southern California. They’re about one to two feet long and are fun to catch. To catch them, you need a squid jig, a plug that is studded with spikes, because a fishhook will slip through the squid’s flesh.

When you hook a squid, it will fight back by squirting you with a jet of seawater and when you get it on board the boat, it will squirt you with ink. They’re edible, but not as good as other species of squid.

I guess if you’re thousands of feet under water, the ability to pull a lot of suction can really do some damage.
