Just because Stonehenge is thousands of years old doesnt mean it cant adapt to the virtual age.
The ancient, mystical site typically hosts one of the worlds most popular summer solstice celebrations, attracting thousands of people, including the druid and pagan community, on the longest day of the year to watch the sun rise behind the Heel Stone.
This year, however, the usual celebration wont be possible. The English Heritage organization, which manages Stonehenge, is asking people not to visit the site, and is instead offering a livestream of the sunrise.
Nichola Tasker, the director of Stonehenge, said, We have consulted widely on whether we could have proceeded safely and we would have dearly liked to host the event as per usual, but sadly in the end, we feel we have no choice but to cancel. We hope that our live stream offers an alternative opportunity for people near and far to connect with this spiritual place at such a special time of year and we look forward to welcoming everyone back next year.
The summer solstice at Stonehenge will stream live on Sunday morning, June 21 (local time), on English Heritages social media accounts.

UGa joke.
Bubba and his friend were sitting on the 50 yard line
at half time when UGa was brought on the field.
He proceeded to lick his balls.
Bubba said, “I sure wish I could do that!”
His friend said, “are you kidding? That dog would BITE you!”.

Summer solstice at Cahokia......
Standing with one's back to the vertical pole (rather than to the side), the solstice sunrises precisely over the right corner of Monks Mound at Cahokia.
Then there is real American precision at Chaco Canyon....
The boys at Chaco really knew their stuff

I always fall back on precession.
After 5000 years surely the blocks no longer align with the current solstice.

*why?*
Because it’s fun and interesting.

Neither did they line up when it was built. The "druids" are a group organized a couple of hundred years ago, and these typically English eccentric solstice observations are just some, uh, modern BS.
