Corona Virus Daily Thread #49 COVID-19 4/30/2020
Yeah, that’s the plan. It says I have until midnight to change the order so will try that. Lack of stock was what was taking so many hours of my time checking back for days.
I’d started working on a list last week but they didn’t have anything, so gave up. Tried in earnest the past two days.
Hubby is threatening to go inside for ice cream so I was trying to keep him out. He’s not good at following safety rules.
I’m starting to think this self-quarantine is making folks batty...
What’s your opinion on buying regular shelf bread? I worry about it being contaminated but wanted other’s opinions.
Are y’all buying meat now?
I'm waiting for the next birth pain to hit us, even as this one is still causing contractions. Any ideas? This coronavirus thing really took everyone by surprise, I think. Tho some, including Fauci/Gates/etc had made mention about such a thing in the recent past.
Maybe we need to pay more attention to comments of the elite? Elon Musk sure is pushing Starship production to the max with plans to colonize Mars at the apex of his agenda.
Do "they" know something we don't? Probably...IMHO.
Several months ago; watching a clerk at the grocery store rubbing his face while holding a clump of cilantro he was picking out for a delivery customer put an abrupt end to any idea of participating in such a service at any point in the future.
I knew even before all of this that I would never use the instacart pick up service. I have watched those people. I am not even sure they have a timed limit for how long the frozen stuff can sit in the bags while they continue to fill orders
It would have to be dire for me to use them.
Of course if you are handicapped in some way and cant walk the store etc it is a valuable service
I know there have been a few times when my knees were so bad I had to use those rolling wheel chair things. Discovered part of the issue was my shoes so I havent had to do it in a while
I buy bread. Wipe it down. Put it in a container and throw the bag away
Heat it.
So far I have managed to escape Wuhan flu even though my neighbor has it. Probably will get it when I mow the lawn and the idiots in the neighborhood walk within inches of me
Try a pair of Brooks...really helped my wife.
my issue is the way my foot rolls. makes a very distinctive pattern on my shoes.
once i started correcting that with shoes and inserts etc...and taking more vitamin d when they start to hurt it sort of disappeared. I have old age arthritis in my knees but I can walk fine. For me to use one of those carts it has to be really bad...(they are so germy)..and it has been at times.
with the news out of australia I went back to look at some old tweets to see what people were saying before it hit the media
here is one

Look at Dr Francis boyle interview with Alex Jones. He lays out exactly where it was made. Halve was made in north Carolina university bsl4 lab. The other halve in Geelong Australia bsl4. And put together in wuhan
the geelong guy helped discover the Nipah virus talked about in this study. gee...lets just do a gain of function study to develop a bioweapon..uh...oops..vaccine...what could possibly go wrong

pretty sure that study talks about inserting HIV
I suspect both the “WE’RE ALL GONNA DIIEEEEE!!! STAY LOCKED DOWN FOREVER!” contingent and the flubro/careless demonstrator contingent are being manipulated by forces inimical to our country (China, Russia, Dems, etc.).
Because the produce guy didn’t rub it before YOU picked it out yourself.
Or any of the hundred customers in the store before you?
Always assume anything you get in any store has been touched by people who don’t wash their hands after they potty.
I agree. Open up gradually, and let this thing slow-burn its way into eventual nothingness.
I have never had an issue with frozen stuff from either Kroger, SAMS or Walmart. SAMS, I know, stores the frozen stuff in carts in their walk in freezer until you pick it up. At least the one near us.
We take a cooler & ice with us anyways as it’s about an hour hike either way to those stores.
We’re buying whatever meat is available. Not much though now.
I make bread/wraps for us. non diabetic contingent of family goes through bread like grant through richmond. We’d be homeless if I had to afford to buy store bread for them :-/
As I said, I always assume anything in any store has been touched by people who don’t was their hands after they potty. Because it probably has...
Oh I am sure it is frozen when you pick it up. I have seen those carts go to the freezer and then go all over the store filling up orders on that cart..and stop and talk to buddies along the way
They get the frozen stuff last.
We got frozen shrimp in our last pickup order. I had a really GREAT coupon I couldn’t pass up. Every single shrimp was intact/individually frozen still when it got to my house. And that was *after* an hour ride in a cooler with ice back to our house. I ‘rattled’ the bag. No congealed mass of refrozen shrimp to be found.
“I suspect both the WERE ALL GONNA DIIEEEEE!!! STAY LOCKED DOWN FOREVER! contingent and the flubro/careless demonstrator contingent are being manipulated by forces inimical to our country (China, Russia, Dems, etc.).”
You suspect right... They are playing both sides..
The Truth is out there, somewhere
