Back in day 13 of the thread we discussed “Healthiness differentiated social distancing”. If you are vulnerable maybe you should socially distance but if you are healthy then you should be out and about. This is the proper way to get herd immunity. This way the healthy people build immunity and then, after contagious period passes, they can’t pass CV on to the vulnerable. Instead we are doing the opposite - protect the children at all costs and let the people in nursing homes get sick. Even Sweden has said that their method is great but they needed to do more to protect the nursing homes.
Trump says he wants schools to reopen this year - this makes one think someone is mentioning herd immunity to him. Just getting political for a minute - if school open in Augst/September for the first time then we will have a large spike in cases (asymptomatic, panic inducing positive cases) right at election time and this could constitute the “second wave” which will cause panic. Opening school this school year is best for the vulnerable and best for preventing a panic-inducing second wave in the fall.

Not sure. I used to think this came from bats but I currently believe it came from the Wuhan lab where they were researching stuff to increase their prestige and help humanity - but they were in over their heads. The only rule in China, IMO, is “do whatever helps the country”. Ethics and truth are irrelevant.
Nonsense - once you are immune you have, as with other viruses, only a very small chance of catching again and usually with much less severity.

Let us wait and see. I predict a large amount of illness after the schools open but these may be skewed by a political act/agenda of some parents.
