Reports that Kim is either dead or is in very poor health are increasing, but what comes after his demise is far from certain and could be horrific.
Regardless, there is a lot of sentiment that seems to celebrate his demise. Be careful what you wish for in this regard, here's why.
He also presides over a nuclear arsenal and a massive conventional military force that could lay waste to large portions of South Korea and bombard American interests and its allies in the region with ballistic missiles.
If Kim goes, it is far from clear what we will get in his place. Instability at the very highest levels via the death of a god-like ruling family dictator in a country that is already starving and experiencing a global pandemic with little resources to fight it wouldn't just be troubling, it could be terrifying.
Command and control over Kim's young nuclear arsenal is already murky. If he is incapacitated, the risk goes up substantially. If he is dead, the question over who controls North Korea's nuclear enterprise rises is a whole other level concern.
Good thing I don’t live in South Korea. Good thing they know we have several thousand nukes too.
If they choose to cease to exist then that’s what they choose.
If anyone there launches a strike against south Korea they will turn into a glowing parking lot.
South Korea is at risk but no one it playing with this.
“Wars and rumors of wars....”
His lil sister looks pretty scary.
Personally, I think Peking better not be asking for much.
The whole lot of them can kiss my ass.
When all the leader of NK is interested in, is making the people worship you more than your predecessor, I expect no less than worse.
Comrade Xi has a solution ready. Nothing to worry about.
In known human history, when hasn’t there been?
But it's not only that, is it?

Not wishing for his demise. He wants to be remembered and loved. You can work with that. No telling what approach his sister would take. Its such a horrible situation over there.
It will be the same as before, the Chicoms calling every shot. The Chinese will determine who replaces LRM.
China pretty much already owns NK unofficially so it won’t take much to take over the rest of the economy, placing NK in the category of vassal state.
She’ll be assassinated and some General will take over NK.
The pantsuited one, Kim Jong-Hill, is tanned, rested, and ready. “Have Scooby Van, will travel!”
“No telling what approach his sister would take.”
Yes we can. Read a bit on her and it says she’s pretty much the female alter ego of Kim. Just recently she was quoted as calling SK “dogs”. So, it will not be any better over there. That we can be assured of.
We might take some damage but new Military technology would likeLy make most Nork nuclear capabilities obsolete. China would likely take more damage and fallout than we would.
It would be terrible if the Norks suddenly suffered from hundreds of sudden earthquakes. Those things are unpredictable, you know. China has known instabilities, too. Wed be sure to send...aid.
Oh, and chuck ficoms. Chuck them to hell.
Your advisors would be quickly caught, beaten, tortured, given a show trial, sent to a gulag.
Air dropping supplies would mean military control of the airspace which means a war would have to start and conclude before anything air dropped.
