I miss America. I miss the time when comedians were funny. When America was great. Back before liberals screwed it all up.

You and me both. Phyllis was a real hoot and yes America used to have a lot of fun and laughs before the liberal got ahold of the country and really screwed it up.

Me too.

I miss good comedy.

Sometimes I catch classic stuff on XM comedy.

Most of it is not funny regarding modern comedy.

I generally don’t think there are many funny female comedians. Phyllis Diller was one of the exceptions. I especially liked her when paired with Bob Hope. I also liked screwball 60’s comedies. One that comes to mind was a 1966 film I saw at a drive-in theater. Aw, the good old days. “Boy Did I Get the Wrong Number”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ggK-bqmrF4

When I was a kid in Webster Groves MO Phyllis and her husband lived one street over from us.

They would let me and my sister and a few other neighborhood kids come swim in their pool...

I really didn’t realize she was famous... just someone nice who lived in the neighborhood.

Her husband would sit on the screened in back porch and do lifeguard duty.

The maid would bring out cookies and whatnot.

Webster Groves seems an odd place for someone to live whose livelihood was on the west coast but she did, at least for a few years.

Phyllis was really funny, but she was an avowed Democrat.

When I was young I met her in the 70’s. She was a beautiful woman.

I generally don’t think there are many funny female comedians. Phyllis Diller was one of the exceptions.

Joan Rivers and Carol Burnett were great, and Roseanne was, too, when she did standup. I'll never forget her first national appearance on Johnny Carson—hilarious!

Gilda Radner—classic. Whoopi Goldberg and Tina Fey used to be really funny; no more.

Annie Potts was funny on Designing Women and now she is hilarious on Young Sheldon. Catherine O'Hara has always been a great sketch comedian and has been amazing in Schitt's Creek. Kate McKinnon is a lefty dingaling, but her comedy skills are top notch. Lily Tomlin's characters and stage shows were side-splitting back in the day; she seems to have retired.
