I miss America. I miss the time when comedians were funny. When America was great. Back before liberals screwed it all up.

I generally don’t think there are many funny female comedians. Phyllis Diller was one of the exceptions. I especially liked her when paired with Bob Hope. I also liked screwball 60’s comedies. One that comes to mind was a 1966 film I saw at a drive-in theater. Aw, the good old days. “Boy Did I Get the Wrong Number”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ggK-bqmrF4

When I was a kid in Webster Groves MO Phyllis and her husband lived one street over from us.

They would let me and my sister and a few other neighborhood kids come swim in their pool...

I really didn’t realize she was famous... just someone nice who lived in the neighborhood.

Her husband would sit on the screened in back porch and do lifeguard duty.

The maid would bring out cookies and whatnot.

Webster Groves seems an odd place for someone to live whose livelihood was on the west coast but she did, at least for a few years.

Phyllis was really funny, but she was an avowed Democrat.
