SNIP

The 65-year-old patient, who was Italy’s first confirmed case, showed signs of conjunctivitis, or pink eye, after being admitted Jan. 23 to a hospital, according to a report in the journal Annals of Internal Medicine.

On the third day she was at the hospital, she submitted an eye swab which found detectable levels of viral particles, the researchers said.

SNIP

The virus remained detectable in her eyes until at least day 20, only to go away and reappear seven days later, researchers said.

Next to a cold, it is the most common infection a kid can get.

I had pink eye in both eyes (never had it before ever) along with bad chest congestion and cough the first two weeks of February. Makes me wonder if I had the virus. Saw something about a month ago saying that pink eye infections were noted in a small percentage of infected Chinese

No no no. The devastating effects of CV MUST linger until at least November 2nd, otherwise this whole exercise is a waste of time.

There are just enough of these BS stories out there to maintain the fear and loathing that has gripped the world for the past 2 months... Enough already!

The virus last about 14 days... Period! There will be no vaccine and no need for a vaccine... Period! This will be gone by the end of 2021... Period! You will not catch the virus twice... Period!

We need to ignore the fear and loathing and get back to work before our economy is completely destroyed. We are about 1 million deaths away from the death toll of the Hong Kong flu in 1969/69... We didn’t lock down for that flu and we were fools to lock down for this one... Lock Downs likely create more deaths. If we had ignored the fear and loathing soothsayers... The virus death would likely be fewer and our immunity greater... So when the lock downs end there will be more deaths... Get used to it... 250 thousand people die per day on earth... So far, we are still 70 thousand deaths away from getting to one day of earths daily death toll. If it takes us four months to get to 250,000 deaths (the amount of death on earth in one day) was all this shite really worth it... Simple answer... NO!

“detectable levels of viral particles”

Are “viral particles” the same thing as actual viruses? Or just what’s left of the viruses after they fall apart?

What happened in Italy is very similar to what happened to me.I got Pink eye on March 9. It normally lasts for a couple of days, but in this case it seemed to clear up around the second week of April, 30 plus days later. At all times I felt fine and my temperature was normal, though I had chills. It is only recently that the chills are gone.
I would love to know if I had it or still have it.

Children get it and then the parents and grandparents pick it up. Very common. Ask any eye doctor.

THis is happening more to children than adults but it does happen to adults.

Anyone who has children needs to be on the lookout for this sign.

Dermatologists are likening it to a frostbite type of injury
