We Americans settled the new world, settled the west, went to the moon, conquered Nazis, conquerd empiral japanese. Time to get back at it. We live life with risk. We are past the point of overwhelming the medical system. Time to get back at it in my humble opinion.

Even though I am still terrified of this China WMD, now is the time to rally. We face other foes, not just the virus, but our own tyrants.
We need to demonstrate, to those who need such demonstrations, that we are not going to live as prisoners, and we’re not going to die as prisoners.
I will not accept the tyranny of the Left, just as I will not accept the tyranny of my own fear.

I cannot forget that this has been done TO us. I believe it was a sneak attack. The pattern of behavior reflects guilty knowledge on the part of the CCP. I think there should be some court to assess damages the CCP has inflicted on the rest of the world. But who could do that?

I am one of those who were laid-off, but I am actively looking for another position. I am getting leads and opportunities almost every day. In the last 5 hours I have had three phone interviews and two of which are serious contenders in my book.
I have a broad background in IT, Wireless Telecommunications, Analysis, and Healthcare. I am confident that I will have something very soon.
I want to go to work and be productive!
Me personally will try everything in my power to buy nothing from china. Not easy so far. Need some help from suppliers.
The polio scourge went on for YEARS. Children dying. Children and adults having to live out their lives in iron lung machines...or wheelchairs. And some who survived relatively intact, have been hit with post-polio syndrome. The only thing I remember closing down were swimming pools.

The good thing is the next month out was only down 20 to 25 percent, which means some think things will get better.

One post I noticed in the daily CV thread stated that the price of oil being essentially being zero is proof that China is not back online. If it were, demand for oil would be higher, thus the price would be higher.
That sounds like legit reasoning to me.

Well, if everyone thought China wasn’t gonna be in decent shape soon or is on the way, that outside month (May) would have collapsed completely also.

My chart is going to be half blue, half yellow, or I can’t really tell what that color is.
With the co-morbidities I have, I don’t want to catch it. I want to avoid catching it as long as I can.
I don’t want to be a prisoner of the Left either. Neither do I want to be a prisoner of my own fear.
This evening I am going over to Pensacola, an area with more cases than my county. I’m going over there to spend some time with my friend. I don’t even remember the last time we got to socialize and actually be friends. He got a promotion and a raise, and bought himself a new, fancy, curved HD tv, and of course, such a thing is not as cool if cannot show it off to your friends, right?
This social visit is going to be an exercise against my own fear. Is it a risk? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes. I don’t want do be without friends. I love him, and the only way to have a friend is to be a friend.
And the only way to be free is to exercise Freedom.
