Going into a self-quarantine can have many complex issues and complications beyond having enough food and supplies for two weeks. In terms of entertainment, it also probably means youre in for a lot of boredom, a lot of Netflix, and a lot of browsing the internet.
But there is a way to get a little culture and education while youre confined to your home. According to Fast Company, Google Arts & Culture teamed up with over 2500 museums and galleries around the world to bring anyone and everyone virtual tours and online exhibits of some of the most famous museums around the world..
Now, you get go to the museum and never have to leave your couch.
Google Arts & Cultures collection includes the British Museum in London, the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, the Guggenheim in New York City, and literally hundreds of more places where you can gain knowledge about art, history, and science. This collection is especially good for students who are looking for ways to stay on top of their studies while schools are closed.

We live only an hour away and have a membership. I’ve only been there once and found it amazing.
You’ll get there, Guen. Take advantage of the economic boom once this is all over.
Bkmk
Too bad the Hermitage in St. Petersburg is not on the list.
Thank you for your kind regard.......
.....but I think Ive lost my nerve for adventures/traveling....
Very kind of you though, very kind
I have a son and a daughter and four grandchildren.
Last summer, we took all the grandchildren and our daughter to Greece and Italy. It was fabulous--because of the children. The National Museum in Athens is fabulous (my third trip through).
The summer before that, we took all the children to London and Paris. Fabulous also! The British Museum is one of my favourites. I particularly love the Elgin Marbles.
Such trips exhaust my wife and me, but it's so wonderful with the children--and so good for them.
But I well understand your reluctance to venture forth.
We were scheduled (reservations made) to take our granddaughter ( and Mommy( our daughter) & Daddy) to DC in June.......do the whole grand tour and stay in an historic hotel
sigh
The hotel can be cancelled......the airline?
To bad the Peterson museum isn’t on the list.
I spent Easter Weekend there last year, and joined.
Went to Easter Sunrise service at the Lincoln Memorial. Was surprised that it was packed.
I stay at the Holiday Inn next to the Museum of the Bible. Free parking, great buffet breakfast included, and close to the mall.

Do you suppose you might take your children to London at some time in the future? When the austerity is over and the boom is on?
