One of the best things you can do for your immune system is eat low carb. I think one of the reasons the China virus is taking so many diabetics is that high blood sugar wrecks the immune system.

That’s amazing...your social media/forum blitz.

I take it you were using your real name....for them to be able to give you a call.

Glad it all worked out and got changed.

Very squeaky wheel :)

It was my father who taught me the tricks on a negative PR campaign.

My first use of them was with my local bank many years ago. They started charging fees to their direct deposit customers—which really ticked me off....

I personally sent a snail-mail letter to each member of the Board of Directors, and sent a copy of that letter to each bank executive.

I then contacted the local lefty rag with a copy of my letter and asked them to investigate the bank.

They wrote a scathing article blasting the bank—and within two weeks of the article being published the bank caved on the fees.

This stuff works!

Yeah, I don't remember the ins and outs. I just remember the call coming one day out of the blue. If I remember correctly it was a rep from Travelocity. Aeroflot didn't give a crap-

I worked from home at the time so I'd suddenly remember, get pissed and go fire off a complaint

I think maybe it made it to her desk and at some point they had all my contact info, reservation number, etc.

When you complain on Twitter, typically, some lower level person will nearly immediately contact you and say, "Hey we are sorry you are experiencing this-what's your account number and let me look into this for you". That kind of thing.

Twitter is actually an excellent vehicle for customer service. I recently had a situation with T-Mobile when I switched to Verizon and T-Mobile wouldn't unlock our phones so they wouldn't take the new SIM cards. I took to Twitter and got it resolved-it still took a week but that's another nightmare.

When the stimulus checks will be mailed -
Taxpayers with income up to $10,000: April 24
Taxpayers with income up to $20,000: May 1
Taxpayers with income up to $40,000: May 15
The rest of the checks will be issued by gradually increasing income increments each week. Households earning $198,000, who file jointly, will get their reduced checks on Sept. 4

Those with direct deposit on file are supposed to get it mid April.

Looks like I’m either in the yellow circle bounding the New Orleans red, or I am just to the east of the yellow circle.

My best friend is in New Orleans.

I just saw this, on Fever Tree’s website...

HOW MUCH QUININE DO YOU USE IN EACH BOTTLE?

All of our tonic waters contain quinine at a level permitted by the FSA and the FDA; the exact amount we use in each flavor is a closely guarded secret. However, in every product, the proportion of quinine is still very significantly below the levels found in anti-malaria drugs.

IF I DRINK ENOUGH OF YOUR TONIC WOULD IT HAVE THE SAME EFFECT AS TAKING A DOSE OF HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE?

No, anti-malaria drugs contain a significantly higher amount of quinine than tonic water so we would not advise using our tonic water for anything other than making a delicious drink to keep your spirits up during this difficult time.

https://fever-tree.com/en_US/article/quinine-and-coronavirus

Sounds like a very nice tonic water, though :-)

Excellent.

My sister and BIL, when they were a young family and broke, bought a car from a sandlot.

It was a complete lemon.

Being a used car lot, they wouldn't do anything about it.

I was a kid, but I remember my BIL standing in front of the business with a big sign that basically said they were selling junk cars.

He got it resolved.

Dr. Campbell did a really good vid this morning. England’s PM sent a notice out to stay home but it sounds ominous imo. Probably is along the same lines as what Liz will be speaking on today.

I have started eating sauerkraut. Never really ate it before.

Trying to get the gut microbes in shape.

Surprisingly, my dog likes it.

I eat some with every meal..even breakfast.

It is easy to make but bought the kind in the glass jar which, of course, not the best to use.
