The Bizarre Handling of Coronavirus and the Obvious Destruction of the United States of America

The bizarre handling of Coronavirus and the obvious destruction of the United States of America......

I find myself seventy three years old here in Pittsburgh and deeply worried about the present and future of our country.

As the days go by the problems ahead for the nation seem bleaker.

My wife and I are Trump people yet this entire ugly event seems bigger and more evil than even he and his administration can solve.

The quote below sums up the feeling I have about how the American people are being treated. I really cannot see a way out of this. The evil plan to destroy our country seems too big and well planned. I hope I am wrong.

Any thoughts?

******

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth.”

”This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.”

-- C.S. Lewis

*****

As an aside, one question we might want to ask is, “Are people dying WITH coronavirus, or are people dying FROM coronavirus?

I see the US becoming even more separate from the EU, UN, Who and the rest as well, but not a convergence of the nations you mentioned. It will remain America First only if it can be sustained under the right leadership.

As for China, Xi will not take the string of events lying down but will continue his march toward the power He intends to weld worldwide. And when he doesn't get this he will lash out and attack.....likely with Russia's assistance and the middle east Islamic countries......sometime down the road.

This isn't the Spanish Flu, and we made it through that.

The Spanish Flu wasn't a pretext for a communist power grab. This virus *is*.

Well Wilson was already in the White House, so there was no need.

In the long run, I fear the Comrade Mayors and Comrade Governors more than I fear the virus. You can see it already, they are drunk with power. How long before they declare another emergency to feed their power addiction?

I hope that after a while people will see some of this as blatant violations of the Constitution. I wish the Supreme Court would chime in but it may not be able to without a case before it.

“I cannot believe people are falling for this steaming pile of bull sh*t!”

The steaming pile is your belief that the numbers out of China are what the Chinese say. Even the Brits are screaming about Chinese duplicity.

While there is no way to know the actual numbers, all the reports from whistle-blowers, crematoriums and incinerators and urns and new reports “post lockdown” tell a much darker story. They’ve already handed out more urns to families than the supposed world-wide death toll.

200,000 dead in Wuhan alone. And if you want the tinfoil version, it’s double-digit millions in China as a whole.

And then there are all the other countries playing political games with the numbers to look good or save face or quiet unrest.

There is a reason the world shut down, and it wasn’t to get Trump.

I get kind of tired of people who reference the ‘swamp’ (whatever they variously perceive the SWAMP to be) without realizing that every person in government is an *individual*, with their own unique viewpoints, values, ideals. For the most part, especially in the lower ranks, they are just HUMAN, like you and I are.

I think it’s nuts to believe that everyone who has been in government-related positions for a long time is necessarily ABSOLUTELY ROTTEN AND UNTRUSTWORTHY.

That attitude only causes noise and disruption at a time like this; and it’s very unfair to many public servants of great integrity.

Do you trust President Trump’s judgment and his ability to steer us through this, or do you not?

I’ve never been slapped by a man.

(But I’ve certainly slapped a couple of men myself - back in the days when women were TRULY ‘empowered’. :-)

The problem is States Governors who consistently rely on the Government for their own mismanagement of their own States affairs.

We’re seeing this play out even during this crisis.

Don’t get hung up on cause and effect. Communists and bacteria are opportunistic. Power is opportunistic.

“I agree. Most U.S. folks who died after being diagnosed with COVID-19 are over 70 years-old and perish as a result of PNEUMONIA!”

Pneumonia is not a specific disease, it is a set of symptoms. When CCP-19 goes after your lungs it has those same symptoms.

From Mayo Clinic:

“Pneumonia is an infection that inflames the air sacs in one or both lungs. The air sacs may fill with fluid or pus (purulent material), causing cough with phlegm or pus, fever, chills, and difficulty breathing. A variety of organisms, including bacteria, viruses and fungi, can cause pneumonia.”

Don't look to government for wisdom. The courts are not equipped to deal with this sort of thing. They are law people, not reality people. As a matter of law, immediate public health issues are a matter of executive discretion.

It’s not personal. The drones in government are self-serving slaves to a bureacracy.

Good for you! What I'd like to know is, in the old movies when someone was hysterical or about to lose it or just had a very emotionally trying moment the protagonist would say "Here, drink this''. I always wondered what ''this'' was.

.....”Many government actions these days might seem extreme. But I don’t see any evil power grabs going on here”.....

Neither do I...rather just the opposite as the public sector rising and being a part of the challenge...just as is done when tornado’s aand other disasters hit a state, only this is on an entire national convergence of leaders across the nation in all areas of commerce, industries, and whever chooses to be part of this great work.

You can state your opinions and your likes and dislikes, on Free Republic... so can I... and you are nuts if you think all of those who are spouting about how bad it’s gonna’ be and how long it will be... I don’t buy it.

I just looked up how many die normally in the US and the quote is 109 per day. When they give their figures each day, do they count only the ones who die from the virus? No, they just have a number .. and it is making a statement with numbers and for what reason do they not specify it is for all deaths.. or maybe they do and I missed it. But you know in an argument, if you want it to be a high number, you use it like they do. If you want a lower number for your reasons, you would split the deaths ONLY from the virus.
it’s playing with the numbers to make a point. to win your cause.. and I don’t trust any of them.. plain and simple. There are a few... there were more than a few but the capitulated.. so goes it in Washington.

I’ve lived in quite a few bad times in this country and I’ve never seen the streets emptied and everything closed. for what reason is it that way now...to stop the virus.. and what about the ones prior to this one.... it just does not make sense to me..

We have a President the other side hates.. and we have an election coming up in a few months... and “never let a pandemic go to waste...”

One state shut everything up till the day after the Republican convention... think it was VA.. not sure .. now, isn’t that convenient..
