I get kind of tired of people who reference the ‘swamp’ (whatever they variously perceive the SWAMP to be) without realizing that every person in government is an *individual*, with their own unique viewpoints, values, ideals. For the most part, especially in the lower ranks, they are just HUMAN, like you and I are.

I think it’s nuts to believe that everyone who has been in government-related positions for a long time is necessarily ABSOLUTELY ROTTEN AND UNTRUSTWORTHY.

That attitude only causes noise and disruption at a time like this; and it’s very unfair to many public servants of great integrity.

Do you trust President Trump’s judgment and his ability to steer us through this, or do you not?

It’s not personal. The drones in government are self-serving slaves to a bureacracy.

You can state your opinions and your likes and dislikes, on Free Republic... so can I... and you are nuts if you think all of those who are spouting about how bad it’s gonna’ be and how long it will be... I don’t buy it.

I just looked up how many die normally in the US and the quote is 109 per day. When they give their figures each day, do they count only the ones who die from the virus? No, they just have a number .. and it is making a statement with numbers and for what reason do they not specify it is for all deaths.. or maybe they do and I missed it. But you know in an argument, if you want it to be a high number, you use it like they do. If you want a lower number for your reasons, you would split the deaths ONLY from the virus.
it’s playing with the numbers to make a point. to win your cause.. and I don’t trust any of them.. plain and simple. There are a few... there were more than a few but the capitulated.. so goes it in Washington.

I’ve lived in quite a few bad times in this country and I’ve never seen the streets emptied and everything closed. for what reason is it that way now...to stop the virus.. and what about the ones prior to this one.... it just does not make sense to me..

We have a President the other side hates.. and we have an election coming up in a few months... and “never let a pandemic go to waste...”

One state shut everything up till the day after the Republican convention... think it was VA.. not sure .. now, isn’t that convenient..

"I think it’s nuts to believe that everyone who has been in government-related positions for a long time is necessarily ABSOLUTELY ROTTEN AND UNTRUSTWORTHY." --- Certainly not "everyone, but maybe the majority.

"That attitude only causes noise and disruption at a time like this; and it’s very unfair to many public servants of great integrity." ---- Then that "noise" should be ignored by the wonderful and able public servants. /s

"Do you trust President Trump’s judgment and his ability to steer us through this, or do you not?" ----- He has great judgment and ability. However, he is just one man...
