Conspiracy theories claiming COVID-19 was engineered in a lab as part of a biological attack on the United States have been gaining traction online in recent weeks, but a new study on the origins of the virus has concluded that the pandemic-causing strain developed naturally.
An analysis of the evidence, according to the findings first published in the scientific journal Nature Medicine, shows that the novel coronavirus "is not a laboratory construct or a purposefully manipulated virus," with the researchers concluding "we do not believe that any type of laboratory-based scenario is plausible."
"There’s a lot of speculation and conspiracy theories that went to a pretty high level," Dr. Robert Garry, a professor at the Tulane University School of Medicine and one of the authors of the study, told ABC News, "so we felt it was important to get a team together to examine evidence of this new coronavirus to determine what we could about the origin."

Chinese scientists were involved in the Chapel Hill experiment.
They warned that what we are seeing right now could happen in nature in the future because they did the same thing in a lab experiment with a bat not found in Wuhan.
How does this not resonate with you that it has already been proven that it can be done by humans.

China has so many apologists in our mainstream fake news media spewing its propaganda that Joseph Goebbels would be jealous.
The beauty of conspiracy theories is that the refutations take time and effort, and the conspiracy theory itself takes neither. Only the paranoia of the audience is necessary. If your theory gets definitively shot down, you just modify the story slightly, and then the refutation has to start up again. It’s a losing game for the rational side, and the paranoiacs always get to remain paranoid.

ABC News said it, I believe it, and that settles it!
Seriously, if ABC news reported that water was wet I would have to go take a bath before I would believe them. We might not ever know for sure what happened here, but I give no credence to condescending B.S. from this Chinese propaganda outlet.
My theory is that the bio-lab in Wuhan was experimenting with SARs type viruses on bats and one of their workers swiped a few animals to sell at the wet-market for extra cash.
But then:
COVID-19 is 96% identical to a coronavirus found in bats, researchers said, but with a certain variation that could explain what has made it so infectious.
These two statements seem to contradict each other.

I’ve read those papers, too, and outlining the findings in a rather biting article about the hysterical Wuhan Coronavirus response with sub-textual analysis of its origin and the media’s complicity.
ABC is saying whatever the CCP dictates in its global push of propaganda to deflect elsewhere.
A ‘puppet’ gif would be rather apropos.

Wonder if they can explain the fact that 2 Chinese researchers sent live deadly viruses from the Canadian lab to China in March 2019 which led to their arrest in July 2019. How about the Chinese “researchers” in the Harvard bio lab that sent 21 vials of biologicals to China in Jan 2020? One of the Chinese “researchers” was an officer in the PRC posing as a civilian scientist.
If it turned out that it didn’t just appear from ‘nature’ via a bat, then that would mean ‘someone was responsible’ for all this disruption in the world right now. Someone would be in BIG trouble.

So, we know ABC is Fake News. Fake News is working very hard pushing the story that ‘it wasn’t created in a lab’ as hard as they can. Fake News is like bizarro world. What they say is up, turns out to be down on a consistent basis.
