In Texas, they’re playing hot potato between the person’s county of residence vs. the county where tested vs. the county where treated.

Okey, dokey. You don’t take the test, then you get to stay in quarantine. Simple as that.

It’s very simple. Driving causes more accidents and trips to the ER exposing more people and cops. Driving can’t happen unless you grab hold of a nasty filthy gas pump handle. Driving takes you out of your neighborhood where you’ll see golden arches and just have to stop for a Big Mac where you’ll be picking up the virus or spreading it.

Call the PC police but NOLA’s growth rate likely has to do with racial make up. Blacks tend to congregate at church and at home in large groups.

If you have to open a gate to get to the track, you leave a gift on the gate
Which makes me want to go to our towns rival and breathe on their turf.

Picking up my wife today, she is getting discharged from the hospital. Drive up, have the guard put in my order.
I guess they will slide her out on the rollers, through the delivery door.
Easy Peasy.
I built a video teleconferencing system into a county jail when I was young. It was easier getting into the jail, than this hospital.

Driving takes you out of your neighborhood where youll see golden arches and just have to stop for a Big Mac where youll be picking up the virus or spreading it. You make many assumptions. You're saying that because people *might* do those things, they should do no non-essential driving.
People can safely drive to many places. Including to do shopping, go to drug store, etc.
As far as pumping gas, that's what paper towels, gas mitts and hand sanitizer are for. People are going to purchase fuel regardless of the type of trip.
And far as eating at MacDonalds- there's no current evidence - none - that food is a vector for COVID-19 transmission. A possible issue is if the bag/wrapper that the food is in. Carefully remove the food.
This is about minimizing risk, not eliminating risk.

If you have to open a gate to get to the track, you leave a gift on the gate Depends on what the gate is made of, ambient temperature, etc.
Again, its about minimizing risk. What gets the most "bang for the buck" without turning the American experience into home confinement.

Guessing this won’t be discussed on the flubro threads.
Anyone who still has their older family members in these places flat out doesn’t care about them. Granted, it is one thing if they need constant nursing care but it’s another if they can manage with the help of loved ones.

Actually, I was referring to the latest batch of flu bros which includes faculty members of leading universities and other scientists.
Yes, I have read some of those reports/studies and they do make some good points. However, for me personally, I figure it's better be safe than sorry-- plan for the worst, hope for the best.
There's a story on the main page: Muslim Priorities in a Dangerous Pandemic: Faith in Allah versus precautions against infection.
I read it and laughed out loud. Didn't see any comments on it. The muslim fanatic sounds just like the limbaugh or fundamentalist fanatic by just replacing a few words in the title and story. For instance:
5. Had I previously seen sheikh Saajid Liphams Thoughts on Coronavirus (COVID-19) video of a couple of days ago, I would have asked myself what my priorities are: this life or the next life? Who knows how I wouldve answered that question? The point is that had I still been a Muslim, the distinct possibility exists that I wouldve prioritised the next life of this one, and refused the test.
5. Had I previously seen snake handling pastor Billy Bob's Thoughts on Coronavirus (COVID-19) video of a couple of days ago, I would have asked myself what my priorities are: this life or the next life? Who knows how I wouldve answered that question? The point is that had I still been a Bible believer, the distinct possibility exists that I wouldve prioritised the next life of this one, and refused the test.
Theres a distinct pattern to be discerned in the scholars advice to Muslims on how to respond to the COVID-19 crisis. At the start of the crisis, they were all gung-ho with how special Muslims are and how they are right in there with Allah who, on the one hand, can do whatever he likes to whomever he likes, and at the same time, whether he does to Muslims is all good anyway, so whatever measures these deluded infidels are telling Muslims to take, it makes no difference anyway. The I hear and I obey, mindset of Muslims let to some catastrophic behaviour, such as going out and licking shrines that others have touched and kissed. It is an extreme example, but it is one done by many and admired by many more.
Theres a distinct pattern to be discerned in the talk show radio host's advice to Dittoheads on how to respond to the COVID-19 crisis. At the start of the crisis, they were all gung-ho with how special conservatives are and how they are right in there with God who, on the one hand, can do whatever he likes to whomever he likes, and at the same time, whether he does to the Bible-fearing is all good anyway, so whatever measures these deluded liberals are telling the Bible-fearing to take, it makes no difference anyway. The I hear and I obey, mindset of Dittoheads led to some catastrophic behaviour, such as going out and going on cruises and keeping beaches open for Spring Break. It is an extreme example, but it is one done by many and admired by many more.
It's like playing the Mad Libs word game.

NZ fishers sounds like a good plan. They’re working and hopefully away from the virus.

No, but touching everything someone in that neighborhood could spread CV back into your neighborhood or you could spread it into the other neighborhood. Simple concept and good plan. Just stay home.

Uber lib Austin/Travis Co. treehuggers should have been able to cure themselves with healing crystals and magnets. Instead they’re spreading it out to neighboring rural counties.
