One of my son’s friends is doing Uber eats. I loaded him up with gloves, a mask, alcohol with a spray nozzle, and disinfectant wipes.
They couldn’t bring their own masks from home because it exposed the hospital incompetence.

I wish I learned while my mom and dad canned massively yearly for over 20 years. I just helped prepare the food for canning.
Is it not the case that those NaOCl mix ratios are intended for application in bacterial disinfection? Are the same concentrations effective for viral disinfection, including lipid-encased viruses? I have no idea.

Mom, dad and me went to NYC for the Bi-Centennial and the tall ships, drove out from Minnesota. On a bus in NYC and we were struggling with the map to go see some museum or some place.
A woman saw us and said “Just get off the bus when I do and follow me.”
So we did, and she said just follow her. I can’t recall how far it was or how many turns, but do recall thinking that there was no way we would have found it!
My dad thanked her and said something like “How fortunate for us that you live out this direction.”
“Oh no - I’m still 20 blocks down on the bus line, but its a nice day for a walk, and I could see you needed the help.”

Are they saving the meds for the hospitals?
The reason China was so harsh with people not wearing masks is because it was these people who spread the virus.
They didn’t care if mask wearers got the virus, but they knew that masks slowed the spread. Even simple surgical masks, or in one video, a mask improvised from a bra.

I have procedure masks at home for any visitors to wear inside my house, if they don't have their own masks.
The CDC and Vice-President Pence told the public tnat N95 masks wouldn't protect them from the Wuhan Virus. This was a lie which destroyed their credibility. They lied thinking that would preserve the limited public market supply of N95 masks for medical personnel.
And ammo.

Note this was just ONE doctor, over the span of a couple weeks. Assuming 350 patients X 20 tablets, that’s 7,000 tablets by one doctor. Hospital and retail pharmacies across the country are being wiped out by doctors prescribing to themselves, family and friends, along with patients.
There are doctors writing prescriptions for people who are not even infected, including one doctor who is a member here. Multiply that times thousands of other doctors, and states were forced to intervene. If this was allowed to continue, there wouldn’t be medicine for the seriously ill. But there will be plenty for the wealthy and connected. Maybe we could distribute the national stockpile of respirators to the highest bidders...

What is interesting on the mask topic is comparing media coverage of masks from January and earlier to media coverage on masks in February and March.
