cgbg :" I don’t think you saw my earlier post about senior hours.
In the rich suburbs around here they are the _worst_ times to shop.
The rich seniors all just came back from their world travels—fuggedaboutit "

Right - I hadn't seen your earlier post about early morning store hours.
Then I guess in your area the seniors are OTO (On Their Own).
Personally, I prefer the early hours since only the stock handlers have handled the food stuffs
and have found it best to purchase fruits and vegetables which are already wrapped in saran, to minimize the hoard physical contact.

I am well stocked with everything.

I am hoping that in a few weeks masks will be socially acceptable and available—I really don’t want to be in a store before then.

Thank you, bgill. It is raining here, so I haven’t done that. As far as I know, we do not have any cases yet but the ambulance and police were here yesterday.

They won’t give us any information, but it does make us all very nervous.

What will be will be. Panic doesn’t accomplish anything.

“In Hong Kong they learned social distancing from SARS which was tougher to get, but it would kill you.”

They also learned the importance of having face masks available...something that, I guess, was too complex for the CDC to understand.

I understand that is the reason for the low transmission in South Korea and Japan, people go in public wearing masks.

Any governor issuing a shelter in place order now knows for a fact (should have realized already) that he will economically devastate his state.

California now has over a MILLION new unemployment claims and rising.

Unless it’s galloping bubonic plague no governor in his right mind should do this.

Not really the CDC’s purview to take care of masks.

Each hospital is supposed to have 28 days in surplus at all times.

The state’s Emergency Preparedness group is supposed to have a back up supply.

The CDC is the fire tower. They aren’t the fire department.

Three More Virginia Coronavirus Deaths
Governor Also Critical Of Liberty

WRVA NEWS
MARCH 25, 2020 - 3:54 PM

Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Virginia has recorded an additional three coronavirus-related deaths. State Epidimiologist Lillian Peake says two are from the Williamsburg area, and one is from the Danville-area. The fatalities bring Virginia’s total to 12.

Virginia saw a one day jump of cases from Tuesday to Wednesday of 101. Peake says it is the result of more testing, as well as virus spread.

Madrid (site of the march) metro area currently has 1,535 _deaths_ from CV in a metro area population of 6.59M.

They may in fact be the hardest hit of Europe, and that women’s march was one of the main reasons.

Prophetic events are for everyone, for them even more than for us. Remember the parable, those he forgives at the end are just as forgiven as those who were forgiven earlier.

“EXCLUSIVE: ‘I nearly died.’ Hollywood stuntman, 40, describes how he collapsed on set of new a war film shooting in China and spent six days in intensive care after contracting coronavirus from eating mystery street meat”

Did he happen to have an electron microscope to determine that the virus got him from the meat, or was that an assumption?

The only valid statistical reference point is actual mortality. It's why Dr Birx - echoing our own wastoute by a full week - brought it up during a recent conference. "Cases", admissions, all the rest, are really just noise for a number of different reasons. One, they might only be measuring increased 'results' not disease incidence; two, because there's no actual legal mandate to maintain accurate records, unlike death certificates. That means the data points can literally be all over the place. It also suggests they can be manipulated & amplified by those with agendas, either media attention or politically motivated.

Italy is approximately 8 days ahead of the USA. Infection to resolution is 10-14 days. So, any true peak in mortality simply indicates the primary wave of infection occurred two weeks previous. So, if you really want to have an excellent bird's eye view that is 98+-% accurate, and is only subject to modeling assumptions going forward, then watch Italy, US and NY.

On that note, look how NY has distorted total US deaths due to their extreme growth curve over the last week. Since NY is a lagging indicator, this is demonstrating - to a very fine level of granularity - how compressed CV is in dense urban regions, not an indicator of potential US trends:

		USA	NY
Day	Date	Cum Total	Cum Total	NY %

Good timing, so metro Madrid (a little lower population than NYC, 8.2M) has more than double the deaths of NYC.

3-week-old infant in New York is youngest coronavirus patient in US

By Laura Ingle | Fox News
We all hoped it wouldn’t happen, but now more and more young children are testing positive and requiring hospitalization for coronavirus across the nation.

Fox News can exclusively confirm the youngest patient in the U.S. has been identified as a 3-week-old infant who was treated at NYU Winthrop Hospital on New York’s Long Island in Mineola for several days. The baby has since been released and is now recuperating at home.

As more and more children fall ill from COVID-19, the narrative that little ones are mostly immune to it is quickly changing. While children can recover from it quicker than older adults, like any illness, there could be medical complications that escalate quickly.
