New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Saturday that the state was reckoning with a significant rise in the number of coronavirus cases, the majority of which were identified in residents younger than 60. Cuomo announced there were 10,356 confirmed cases across the state, 6,211 of which are in New York City, and 54% of which are from patients who are between 18 and 49 years old.

Well couldn’t that be a good thing? If they only have a mild case and recover does that not build herd immunity?

And 99.5% of them will ultimately survive.
Why does there suddenly seem to be this effort to make young people join the hysteria? No one said they are immune. But they are not dying in numbers anywhere near older people are.

Well they voted for it. Actually, they did. When they vote for politicians who let everyone and their mother's uncle come in no matter what is going on just so someone can make money, they voted for it. When you vote for people who have defective ideology, you are voting for bad policy. Do not blame those of us who disagree with you and don't make US pay for your poor thought process which leads to incorrect voting.
People get the kind of government they deserve. The sad fact is, those of us who make every effort to live properly get the kind of government the others deserve.

Overall in the US yesterday, the number of new cases and deaths were both slightly DOWN.
Even in New York state, there were “only” ten deaths yesterday.

Hmmmm.... Men between ages of 18-49, per the NY Post. Could these be homosexual men with underlying health conditions? Significant number of cases in Queens (Koreans and Chinese), Brooklyn (Chinese) and Manhattan (Chinese). Much fewer cases in Bronx (Hispanic and Black) and Staten Island (Italian). This really isnt that hard to figure out what is going on in NYC.

Younger Adults Comprise Big Portion of Coronavirus Hospitalizations in U.S.The New York Times ^ | March 18, 2020 | Pam Belluck

DR. BIRX: Thank you. Thank you, Mr. President, Mr. Vice President. So, you know, we continue to look at data every single day. There are concerning reports coming out of France and Italy about some young people getting seriously ill, and very seriously ill in the ICUs.
We think part of this may be that people heeded the early data coming out of China and coming out of South Korea that the elderly or those with preexisting medical conditions were at particular risk. It may have been that the millennial generation, our largest generation, our future generation that will carry us through for the next multiple decades, there may be a disproportional number of infections among that group. And so even if its a rare occurrence, it may be seen more frequently in that group and be evident now.

It is good in the sense that they are more likely to survive, by a notable margin. That said, the word that has been put out greatly overemphasizes the difference in effect by age.
