Day # 20 here:
http://freerepublic.com/focus/chat/3825807/posts?page=1
I watched someone die of lung cancer...these stories are horrific to me. the inability to breathe is just horrible
I was like one big ball of pain’: Ohio man, 55, tells of coronavirus hell which left him feeling like he was SUFFOCATING after doctors misdiagnosed him with pneumonia
I've taken the liberty of adding to an initial ping list, those who I feel may be interested in being notified when a new table is posted. If you want off or on, just let me know via a private message please.
Numbers for March 18 have been updated. I will updated the table for March 18, and post it later tonight.
A good example of the ND/TD ratio scoring is China, who regularly has had no new deaths and greatly quarantined their people sooner than the country of Italy. Italy now exceeds China in total deaths, and tonight, has a ND/TD ratio of 15.95.
We're gonna get thru this...we know how to fight it. Also, more tests and new treatments are becoming available daily.
that's strange. LAX intercepted something similar last week
vials filled with a white liquid and labeled Corona Virus 2019nconv (COVID-19) and Virus1 Test Kit," the agency said. https://www.foxnews.com/us/fake-covid-19-test-kits-seized-at-lax
From 2012:
RESULTS: 37 eligible studies were included. ACE inhibitors were associated with a significantly reduced risk of pneumonia compared with control treatment (19 studies: odds ratio 0.66, 95% confidence interval 0.55 to 0.80; I(2) = 79%) and ARBs (combined direct and indirect odds ratio estimate 0.69, 0.56 to 0.85). In patients with stroke, the risk of pneumonia was also lower in those treated with ACE inhibitors compared with control treatment (odds ratio 0.46, 0.34 to 0.62) and ARBs (0.42, 0.22 to 0.80). ACE inhibitors were associated with a significantly reduced risk of pneumonia among Asian patients (0.43, 0.34 to 0.54) compared with non-Asian patients (0.82, 0.67 to 1.00; P<0.001). Compared with control treatments, both ACE inhibitors (seven studies: odds ratio 0.73, 0.58 to 0.92; I(2)=51%) and ARBs (one randomised controlled trial: 0.63, 0.40 to 1.00) were associated with a decrease in pneumonia related mortality, without differences between interventions.

Just for kicks, let's pretend the life expectancy is 90 years.
So for a life to be worth 9 million, they'd have to produce $100,000 / yr from birth through death.
Given that the median income is only half of that...and most people only work from (say) age 22 - 55...
You look like you need cheering up, let me help you:
Ok, I see. That explains why one or more of the doctors are at Grady. Do you have a link to an article about it by chance?
I’m fine with being on your ping list. Appreciate it.
Wish sites would just tell me useful info that I want to know.
Talked to a rural clinic nurse at the Dollar General (we were 6 ft apart) and she told me they had no masks. Were expecting a box soon.
So pathetic for this country!
That man suffered from severe asthma and was recovering from Testicular Cancer. He was taking immunosuppressive drugs.
He was as high risk as someone can be.
That’ll drive China and it’s media here crazy!
Love it!
So, all along China has known younger people were getting hit hard (hat tip Sharon Sanders at FT)
Hospitalized was 18% in 4554 years age group, and 20% were aged 2044 years which is 38%.
I.C.U. was 36% among adults aged 4564 years, and 12% among adults aged 2044 years.

In fact on Feb 11, they issued guidelines as to how to help all,of the children orphaned by the crisis.

No health care worker should be without proper protection
those that dont have it are going to go down. those that dont go down need to be looked at as to why it didnt get them
Maybe it is a supply issue as far as materials. I dont know
But it is a disgrace
I agree.
In fact I think healthcare systems are vectoring this virus. It has out-smarted them.
We are a rural area with no cases though.
Still, got to think ahead.,
Excuse me? He had childhood asthma and beat the cancer 4 years ago. Nowhere did I read he was taking immunosuppressive drugs. What is your source?
You need to catch up, there are a lot of young people getting sick with no co-morbities:
NETHERLANDS
In the Netherlands, more than half of the people in intensive care with Covid-19 are aged under 50, IC association chairman tells
@ADnl
.
The family of a 16-year-old boy in intensive care has asked the Netherlands to Wake up and take this virus seriously.

FRANCE
Jérôme Salomon, Director of Health:
...
Young people are also affected
...
According to Jérôme Salomon, we often have young people, half of the people in ICU are under 65. Just over 10% of deaths are under the age of 65. But there are few cases among minors. From the age of 25, 30 year old, there are increasingly severe forms and no underlying pathology.

Belgian doctor says young coronavirus patients also getting severely ill
An emergency doctor treating patients of the coronavirus epidemic said several young people who had been hospitalised were getting severely ill despite having no underlying conditions.
Doctor Ignace Demeyer, who works at a hospital in Aalst said that that lung scans from young people admitted into the emergency ward were nothing short of terrifying.

I am staying far away from health care . Just hope I dont have a heart attack or need to go to the hospital.
My hair nearly lit on fire when I was forced to go into a Drs office to get my blood pressure medicine.
I was the only one in the place wearing an n95 mask. Although, I would not expect a Drs office to be wearing them.
