ORLANDO, Fla. — The Central Florida University announced Thursday that one of their students has tested positive for COVID-19.

The university says that out of an abundance of caution the student’s residence hall and classrooms will be decontaminated.

The student who has not been identified is recovering away from the university.

Ok, my head is spinning!

My girlfriend demands to see me. She wants to make love!

I’m good, but I didn’t realize I was that good!

I said no. We need at least another week to do what President Trump asked in his 15 days to slow the virus.

I mean, to risk this infection just to have a quick physical satisfaction?

I told her to get lost. I guess we’re going to find out who our friends really are, really soon...

HI

An influx of more than 1,000 private laboratory samples resulted in 10 new coronavirus cases Thursday, taking the state tally to 26.

By Eleni Gill / About 14 mins ago
On Thursday the number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Hawaii jumped from 16 to 26 cases, state Health officials said.

All 10 new cases were found by commercial laboratories that have conducted more than 1,000 tests. Eight of the cases involved Oahu residents and two involved Maui residents.

“All of our cases as far as we know have a travel history or are individuals who have been exposed to someone who has been traveling,” said Department of Health Director Bruce Anderson. “That’s significant. We believe at this time there’s no evidence of extensive community transmission in the state of Hawaii.”

Another mask study

The median-fit factor of the homemade masks was one-half that of the surgical masks. Both masks significantly reduced the number of microorganisms expelled by volunteers, although the surgical mask was 3 times more effective in blocking transmission than the homemade mask.
CONCLUSION:

Our findings suggest that a homemade mask should only be considered as a last resort to prevent droplet transmission from infected individuals, but it would be better than no protection. (Disaster Med Public Health Preparedness. 2013;0:1-6).

There are at least 3 positives among students at Emory residence halls.

All Emory students are supposed to be gone by Sunday, 3/22.

I guess these 3 students will be staying.

Living within the confines of your home, squeezed in with family members, can be frustrating and stressful. Especially when you're seeing your savings vaporize in the markets on a daily basis.

Dear Diary:

Day 4 of living at home with no sports.

There's this strange lady on my sofa.

She says she knows me...

S. KOREA

New clusters of Chinese coronavirus emerged in Seoul and Daegu this week, sparking fears of a resurgence in cases in South Korea.

Gyeonggi Province — which surrounds Seoul, South Korea’s capital and most populous city — reported 15 new cases of the virus on Wednesday, raising the total number in the province to 277. Daegu, a southeastern city at the epicenter of the nation’s outbreak, reported 70 new infections at a nursing home this week.

Hundreds of elderly Australians are terrified that they will catch the coronavirus and die as their cruise ship prepares to dock in Italy.

The Costa Victoria has already been denied entry into ports in both Asia and Europe including Croatia, the UAE and Israel.

But the cruise liner will carry out an emergency docking in Venice on March 28 despite Italy’s coronavirus death toll reaching 3,405 - overtaking China’s tally on Friday

I think that was about doctors at Emory facilities, which are numerous and spread wide all over Georgia.
