I thought the CDC was mandated to post the number of ppl tested.
My assumption was that any time I went to Africa I would get sick. Even if you dodge malaria, it's Africa - it will get you.
4 more people have died in New York City due to coronavirus, the Mayor’s Office announces tonight.
All told 26 have died and there are 3,954 cases that have tested positive for COVID-19.

People are going to start selling their toys about now. Buy a cab-over camper truck for a grand or two and park it at Walmart, even if it has to be towed there. Gotta be cheaper (and safer) than a hotel, unless you’re really into the Hilton :) You can always donate it to ‘cars for kids’ and write it off in your relocation expenses (the running joke in our house is, how many cars do that darn kids need?)

I actually don’t much mind dental procedures or blood drawing or ordinary injections, oddly. They once tricked me into an upper GI and I know it was gruesome, but with the amnesic drugs can’t actually remember. But in some place where time is not an active dimension the horror goes on forever.
Incidentally, my state has ordered routine dental work be stopped so I can’t get my cleanings finished or get the permanent crowns installed.
Have you been to Italy? That is the most affectionate but disorganized country imaginable. Even if it's not crowded, they get close to talk with you. And they can't even make their trains run on time - except during WW2, and that got awkward for them. BTW, I love Italy, but it's the love that comes from knowing their flaws too.

I thought a lot of the HIPPAs have already been thrown out, by POTUS.
Here in Washington state the University of Washington has been doing the testing. Until earlier today the Washington State Department of Health was showing how many were tested.
They now have it back on their website - since my previous post - there are 19,336 negative and 1,376 positive. The negative are 93 percent of the tests and the positive are seven percent of the tests.
74 people have now died in Washington state. Eight today down from 14 yesterday.

A NATO service member at Nellis Air Force Base has tested positive for the coronavirus, military officials said today. It is the first confirmed case at the base, officials said.
The service member, who was at the base for a training exercise, entered isolation when they started showing symptoms and will remain in isolation in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention protocols, the Air Force said
