Several weeks ago, I started work on a Monday with a sore throat and headache. I was doing a final review of my high rise building in anticipation of the Fire Marshall's visit that week.
Tuesday, I was sick as a dog. Raging fever, aches and chills, migraine, and a persistent, dry cough. Used Dayquil and Nyquil to dampen the effects and clear my system.
By Wednesday, I was at my doctor's office. I tested negative for the flu. Blood pressure and temperature were way up. They gave me a cocktail booster shots, ciprofloxacin, and prednisone. Doctor ordered chest x-rays. I had those done the same day.
On Thursday, my son drove me to the doctor for my chest xray results. No pneumonia. Doctor told me to return or go to the hospital if I got worse.
By Friday night I was at the hospital with chest and lung pain so severe, I thought I was having a heart attack. More chest x-rays and an MRI on my lungs. My body temp was a shockingly low 96.6. BP up by 50%. Blood oxygen level would drop to 80% every time I had a coughing fit.
IV meds, more steroids, and sent back home. The cough finally loosened up and my strength started to return. They diagnosed it as an upper respiratory condition.
I made it to work on Monday and Tuesday, but was out sick with more fever, aches, chills on Wednesday.
Missed another day the following week for the same reason.
Finally had a good week where I didn't crash and made it through the weekend instead of sleeping and coughing the whole time. Was able to deep clean my house, tackle the mountain of laundry, cook for my family, and spend time with my kids and husband.
Last week, I started feeling weak again. Cough was coming back. Made it through the week but crashed all weekend with a rolling fever. Pain returned to my lungs, shortness of breath...here we go again! My urine was also turning cloudy and dark.
Doctor told me to go to the hospital. My son, whose college had shut down and whose office is closed, drove me there. More tests.
This time, my lung xray showed pneumonia. The Doctor also wanted me to follow up with a pulmonologist for possible COPD. The same tests a month ago showed my lungs as clear!
They would not test me for coronovirus.
I don't want to self-diagnose, but I think they are missing the boat here.
I usually bounce back from things fairly quickly and have a high pain threshold. I did 15 hours of labor natural with my son but that chest and lung pain still ranks as the worst of my life.
Can you please remember me in your prayers? I've already used up my accumulated sick/vacation time and won't get paid for this week. Also, now that my son's office is closed, he will need my help meeting his bills so he can keep his savings for his next semester in college.
Thanks.
Prayers up. Negative for influenza, that has to be corona virus. (Not a Doctor, dont even play one on tv. Random person on the internet) Get well soon, and think about all the positive things in your life and turn off tv news. You will beat this thing.
Gotcha.
Seems odd...not to be able to test YOUR case...which seems pretty obvious?
I agree...safeguarding others is important.
Thanks...and, blessings!
May the good Lord bless you with improved health and long life.
Praying for you FRiend!
Read these aloud and pray to the Lord Jesus for healing.
Psalm 6
Psalm 103
Remember the ill Gentile woman who had so much faith that she thought all she had to do was touch His cloak and she’d be healed? She was! (Mark 5)
I’m praying for your complete recovery and for the doctors to properly diagnose you and treat you.
God Bless!
Prayers for you, brother!
AMEN!
have they looked into the idea that maybe you’re a silent aspirator?
Regardless of whether its the Coronavirus you have, assume it IS and do what you can for your immune system.
For instance, if you dont know your Vit D level, get it checked ASAP and take measures to raise it to 60+ under a doctors advice.
Prayers for you and all your family. May God speed your healing and give you strength through this trial.
Prayers up and may God shower you with His healing Grace.
Praying!
Prayed for you. Will the health department, a drive through lab, or your regular doctor not check you for coronavirus? I’m a retired nurse, and I often wonder what might have happened to my husband or brother the times they’ve been to the ER, if I hadn’t gone with them. I honestly don’t know how people manage, who have no medically knowledgeable person with them at ER visits. ER’s are variable; some are excellent, but some are not. And BTW, although anti-inflammatory are standard care for pneumonia, I have been reading they are contraindicated in coronavirus. I’d try to get tested for covid-19, SOMEWHERE, if I were you, asap.
So is pneumonia.
Praying four and everyone battling with illness.

Prayers up for your fast and full recovery. Your toughness and staying power are something to admire. May God speed your return to normal and you will be without pain soon.
Best
Prayers Writer! That it goes away or they figure out what it is and it’s not a big deal.
My prayers are with you and your family.
Prayers for a speedy recovery and that this isn’t Coronavirus. It is just plain crazy they have not tested you it yet.
Even if you don’t have it, or don’t think you do, please take every precaution you would if you knew you had it.
And keep calling around to see where you can get tested.

Works if you are not allergic to it.
I take a modicum amount of vitamin C and I itch all over and break out.
I always have.
Praying for an accurate diagnosis an appropriate treatment. Praying that you are completely healed.
Prayers for you, healing and peace.
