I want to share with you some scenes that greeted me at my local Kroger today.
These are scenes from a panicked populace.
Like locusts, they are stripping the shelves bare.
Kroger Toilet Paper aisle.
Kroger Deli Meat aisle.
Kroger bottled water aisle.

If preppers talk too much, they might get sniped while hoeing the garden

I saw an elderly neighbor at my local Meijer this morning at 6:45 a.m.. He's in bad shape physically and has to ride one of those motorized scooters.
Anyway, we talked for a little while and he showed me a large shopping list his wife had given him. Half the items he was looking for, especially hamburger, were all gone.
It's elderly folks like him who are suffering due to the panic shopping by everyone else.
FWIW, there were only three packages of hotdog buns left on the shelf and I got one of them......

And, it will be the low wage types - waiters, hotel maids, etc - that will suffer the most from the economic dislocations.

Hmmm ..the bulk of them seem to be within a 50 mile radius of DC and seem to almost fan out from there?

The larger numbers in concentrated areas also seem to be in liberal states that are also have sizable illegal populations which would include DC?

The book, "Failure of Civility" $380 on Amazon ?!? In paperback.Odd. I got my copy for 25$ way back when. Maybe it's made out of toilet paper nowadays!
Mine is paperback, but it's one of those huge paperbacks, 8 1/2 x 11.

As for me, I am relying completely on the government to take care of me.
Went by Kroger to get a few things. Finally was able to get Half-N-Half. No TP or hand sanitizer. Bought sausage and ginger ale. TP looks like the only issue.
I am going to make some hand wipes today with rubbing alcohol, aloe vera and paper towels in a ziplock bag.

Also my wife went to Big Lots and got flushable wipes, one to keep and one to share. The herd is focused on the big boxes.
