I want to share with you some scenes that greeted me at my local Kroger today.
These are scenes from a panicked populace.
Like locusts, they are stripping the shelves bare.
Kroger Toilet Paper aisle.
Kroger Deli Meat aisle.
Kroger bottled water aisle.
More like one second after.
There’s a big chunk of them right here on FRee Republic.
The trees in peoples yards will be safe for a couple of weeks, due to the TP hoarding.
Young kids, up to mischief, hardest hit.
After the pandemonium and chaos subsides, I might reassess my faith in humanity.
LMAO!

Hey Laz...
How are you feeling these days?
Well we have a ton of idiots who desire panic and become furious at anyone who goes off to read a book or somesuch instead of panicking.
But enough about Free Republic these days. Even though you and I disagree much of the time, I am glad that you are feeling better.
I have seen plenty of comments about prepping, infection prevention, etc. None where it appeared that anyone was panicking or pissing their pants. Maybe I just got lucky.
I was at a Wegmans yesterday and they were sanitizing the carts as they were brought in from the parking lot.
The shelves were barer than usual, with the meat dept nuked. No chicken to be had. One turkey and one turkey breast. I took the turkey.
There was beef and pork but not much.
There was no alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or tp. The paper towels were low, water was pretty much out. Lots of OTC meds were out.
Pasta shelves were stripped bare and spaghetti sauce was about half full. Soups were well picked over.
Flour was gone and there was a little sugar left.
There was lots I didn’t check cause I didn’t need it. Some of it I checked only for kicks.
Lmao!
After my curiosity got the best of me, I drove to Walmart a couple of hours ago. Not only are the paper products and cleaning supplies still gone:
- produce is about half gone
- fresh meat is completely gone
- dried pasta and ramen noodles are 90% gone
- eggs are completely gone
- canned goods are 75% gone
- frozen foods are well picked over
While people can still get things to eat, they probably will have to settle for brands and types they don't usually get.
I wished they had all prepared better - the last thing I want to do is shoot someone that's trying to steal food from my family. But I will.
This is pissing me off. I cant even go out anymore I get so mad at these hoarders. No one can find anything they need all thanks to these panic shoppers.
After this crisis passes, Im going full prepper. Never again will I put up with this madness ... Ill already have everything I need in hand.
Jus like Lumbardy and Italy 2 weeks ago.
(Note, this is a log graph, the straight line is exponential.)
The current panic over corona virus reminds me of an episode of Twight Zone, The Monsters are due on Maple Street. Space aliens induce a panic as the means of invading earth.
Just returned from a sit-down restaurant dinner. (Indiana)
About 40 tables, typically full with 15min wait on Sat night.
3 tables occupied.
All wait staff sent home, owner doing all the waitressing
Adacent fast food places open but hard to tell if any customers, maybe only employee cars in lot. No cars in drive thru line.
