---SNIP--- you can stop yourself from getting the virus and so can your relatives and friends, by following the same simple rules that Bruce Aylward and his team used. This international team of experts toured the worst virus hotspots in China. They came away again confident that they are not contacts for the virus and didnt need to be quarantined before talking directly to the press.
You can keep yourself safe from this virus in the same way, with the right hygiene. If most of us did this it would soon go extinct in the wild.
All of us who do this are helping our country and the world to contain the virus

Common sense 101. It’s what I do during any cold or flu season. Heck, pretty much year round.
Anyone: how true is it that COVID-19 is NOT airborne?
Good question. I am off to Google more about that.
I thought it WAS airborne, and that was part of why it has such a high R0 rate of contagion.
As Bogie said in Casablanca, I must have been misinformed.
Whoa..washing hands? What kind of voodoo is this?
Isn’t the consensus that it remains up to 3 hours in the air?
no evidence even people sitting next to an infected person in an hours long plane journey wont get it.
Shouldn't that be "will get it"? As in "no evidence [...]people [...] will get it"?
I think that this article is too cavalier
Read this from the South China Morning Post
Proximity to infected persons and airborne exposure ARE a risk. Apparently the virus can be airborne from 30 minutes to 3 hours.
Eg an empty elevator can actually carry in the air the droplets left behind by someone who recently exited the elevator.
Hoodoo voodoo I believe. 8>)
I wash well when I come in.
I don’t go anywhere were there are large crowds.
I disinfect the shopping cart before I use it and my car when I get home.
I take a supply of nitrile or vinyl gloves with me and use them too, as an extra layer of protection. When I’m done with them, I peel them off so they are inside out and toss them on the car floor to clean up later.
When I get home, I sanitize the doorknobs and anything else I’ve touched when coming in.
So confused...

I’ve heard doctors say it IS airborne.
I’m not sure it has been determined that the virus is not ‘airborne’, especially once it is aerosolized. It certainly is ‘airborne’ in the most basic mechanical sense, i.e. somebody sneezing or coughing very near you:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/transmission.html
The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person.
These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.
Stick the silver gel up your nose with a Q-tip.
It most definitely is transmitted in aerosolized form (droplets), no dispute there; whether it can transmit in airborne form (bare virions) is a matter of controversy still.
