Shouldn't that be "will get it"? As in "no evidence [...]people [...] will get it"?

no evidence even people sitting next to an infected person in an hours long plane journey... That statement by the author is not supported by CDC guidance. The CDC has written that sitting one row away from someone with the COVID-19 virus moves you from low to moderate risk.
The next highest risk category is that of medical personnel working with infected patients in a hospital, and requires full PPE.
