I dont know anything about the author or Science20.com but RealClearScience.Com is a legit site.
This articles lays out some common sense prevention techniques which everyone probably know but it also has some quotes from Dr. Bruce Aylward an infectious disease expert and more details about who is at risk.
* Wash hands frequently, stop touching face, keep 1-2 meters from anyone sick.
* * The author claims the disease is "hard to get" since it is NOT AIRBORNE.
* 99.8% of people who get it will recover.

Common sense 101. It’s what I do during any cold or flu season. Heck, pretty much year round.

Anyone: how true is it that COVID-19 is NOT airborne?

I thought it WAS airborne, and that was part of why it has such a high R0 rate of contagion.

As Bogie said in Casablanca, I must have been misinformed.

Isn’t the consensus that it remains up to 3 hours in the air?

I think that this article is too cavalier

Read this from the South China Morning Post

Proximity to infected persons and airborne exposure ARE a risk. Apparently the virus can be airborne from 30 minutes to 3 hours.

Eg an empty elevator can actually carry in the air the droplets left behind by someone who recently exited the elevator.

I wash well when I come in.

I don’t go anywhere were there are large crowds.

I disinfect the shopping cart before I use it and my car when I get home.

I take a supply of nitrile or vinyl gloves with me and use them too, as an extra layer of protection. When I’m done with them, I peel them off so they are inside out and toss them on the car floor to clean up later.

When I get home, I sanitize the doorknobs and anything else I’ve touched when coming in.

I’m not sure it has been determined that the virus is not ‘airborne’, especially once it is aerosolized. It certainly is ‘airborne’ in the most basic mechanical sense, i.e. somebody sneezing or coughing very near you:

I'd put this article in the dangerously misinformation category...

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/transmission.html

Person-to-person spread

The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person.

These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.

No need to f*** around with some repackaged, clickbait. Just go to the Mayo Clinic. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/coronavirus/symptoms-causes/syc-20479963

Or the CDC

Believe I’m going to stay in until this blows over.

They “postponed” the concert I was planning to see in Las Vegas, so no point in rubbing shoulders.

They came away again confident that they are not contacts for the virus and didn’t need to be quarantined before talking directly to the press.

And to prove it, they touched all the microphones and reporters.

I think that one of best defenses to not getting this virus is to not read this article. The Virus is airborne. It can also be caught from surfaces.

Been doing that for years.

But a lot of people are unconscious and not reachable. A few of them and those they infect will become unconscious permanently.

And telling people is pretty fruitless. Everyone knows. The people not doing it know they should and won’t.

This is pretty good. Most of us will get a light case if at all. And the precautions that we all know will really go far to preventing infection.

* Wash hands frequently, stop touching face, keep 1-2 meters from anyone sick. * * The author claims the disease is "hard to get" since it is NOT AIRBORNE. * 99.8% of people who get it will recover.

Actually, hard to believe, but it stresses not touching your face which is harmless, versus touching your eyes, nostrils, or mouth/lips.

In addition, it fails to mention the important advice of making sure your hands are clean before touching food from with them, and making sure dishware and all such are washed well.

Furthermore, They Say Coronavirus Isn't Airborne—but It's Definitely Borne By Air. The word “airborne” means different things to different scientists, and that confusion needs to be addressed. other sources say it is AIRBORNE

according [to] Lydia Bourouiba, whose lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology..When you breathe out or cough, you release bits of watery mucus from inside your body in a wide array of sizes, ranging from bigger, wetter ones to finer ones. All of these are droplets. The smallest droplets are commonly described as aerosols. Whatever you call them, though, any of these bits of mucus may be laced with viral pathogens. To make matters more complicated, when the water component of droplets dries up in the air, the remaining bits of floating virus are called “droplet nuclei,” which are even lighter and more apt to travel long distances. Aside from size, other factors, such as local humidity and any drafts of air, will also affect how far a droplet flies. - https://www.wired.com/story/they-say-coronavirus-isnt-airborne-but-its-definitely-borne-by-air/
