The Trump Presidency Is Over
The Atlantic ^ | 3/13/20 | Peter Wehner

Posted on 03/13/2020 2:01:13 PM PDT by justme4now

It has taken a good deal longer than it should have, but Americans have now seen the con man behind the curtain.

When, in January 2016, I wrote that despite being a lifelong Republican who worked in the previous three GOP administrations, I would never vote for Donald Trump, even though his administration would align much more with my policy views than a Hillary Clinton presidency would, a lot of my Republican friends were befuddled. How could I not vote for a person who checked far more of my policy boxes than his opponent?

What I explained then, and what I have said many times since, is that Trump is fundamentally unfit—intellectually, morally, temperamentally, and psychologically—for office.

It took until the second half of Trump’s first term, but the crisis has arrived in the form of the coronavirus pandemic, and it’s hard to name a president who has been as overwhelmed by a crisis as the coronavirus has overwhelmed Donald Trump.

These fools that spew their mindless blather about Orange Man Bad should have some kind of consequence for their slander. These editorial thugs and the editors who lets their insanity pollute the body politics, should lose their jobs. There should be media trucks parked down their streets asking if what they said is being supported by their news outlet and if they kick their dog and have sex with their mommy. They should be an example to others who are tempted to fly off the handle in the name of freedom of the press. Otherwise, let the Great Judgement meet them at the Judgement Seat for their consequences; if we are too helpless to respond.

2,000 reported cases and 40 deaths, that’s a mortality rate of 2%

There is a serious run on toilet paper at stores and on line. I thought the Covid-19 main symptoms were respiratory, not bowel.

His pandemic response office(s) were eliminated or severely down financed in 2018

No, Trump didn’t shut down 37 of 47 global anti-pandemic programs

I got H1N1 in early April 2009 and was out of work for a week.

What I told people when I went back to work was “this is going to kill people”.

That would only be true if the average age of the US was 70 years old, since the average age of those who have died in the US is over 70 and 3/4 were of those were in the same incompetent nursing home.

Currently, Way way more than 2,000 people have Wuhan Coronavirus in the US. Only symptomatic cases are tested and up to 80% could be mild/Asymptomatic AND no one under 60 years old without underlying health issues has died, yet.

The most likely morality rate in the US will be around .8% or less, based on Korean data (Koreans have tested around 240,000 people).

Korea has an older population and higher air pollution than the US and their current Wuhan CV death rate is less than .9%. The US death rate WON'T BE HIGHER.

The way it’s supposed to work is you identity infected people and isolate them thus preventing them from infecting more people.

You also then find people they have come into contact with, test them and isolate them if positive.

Rinse, repeat.

The author of that piece is either mentally unfit or fails to understand the nature and communication mannerisms of some of the best businessmen.

“”Wehner is a contributing opinion writer for the New York Times and a contributing editor at the Atlantic. He “writes widely on political, cultural, religious, and national-security issues.””

What has he ever accomplished that is useful? Everyone has opinions but we don’t get paid for them!!

Can you summarize what the big thing is that Trump allegedly did wrong with respect to coronavirus, according to this Never Trumper loon? I don’t mean some critique of Trump’s messaging. I mean actual specific decisions Pres. Trump has made. Or is that not even found anywhere in his rant?

I could read it myself but you can spare me the trouble.

George W. Bush did at least three good things: he kept Al Gore from becoming President, he kept John Kerry from becoming President, and he nominated Samuel Alito to serve on the Supreme Court.

We've seen what kind of justices Obama picked. Gore or Kerry would have had picks that were just as bad.

His problem is that when daddy Wehner saw him at birth he gave him the middle name of “Little”.
