That would only be true if the average age of the US was 70 years old, since the average age of those who have died in the US is over 70 and 3/4 were of those were in the same incompetent nursing home.
Currently, Way way more than 2,000 people have Wuhan Coronavirus in the US. Only symptomatic cases are tested and up to 80% could be mild/Asymptomatic AND no one under 60 years old without underlying health issues has died, yet.
The most likely morality rate in the US will be around .8% or less, based on Korean data (Koreans have tested around 240,000 people).
Korea has an older population and higher air pollution than the US and their current Wuhan CV death rate is less than .9%. The US death rate WON'T BE HIGHER.
US mortality rate 2%. Sounds about right for a developed country where the illness rate is low enough not to jam the hospitals as it has in Italy where the rate is approaching 5%.
