From the WA DOH website, below the chart you posted, they list:

Confirmed Cases by Sex
Female 54%
Male 43%
Unknown 3%

What? How is it 3% "unknown"? Well, it is the left coast.

I have been following you guys bewilderment as to why us girls use so much TP.

This might be too much information, but once you understand the biological reason why you will be delighted to buy us as much as you can afford, and never let us run out.

You see, there are certain anatomical differences between the two sexes. One has a much bigger distance (we hope) between the two orifices. And the other has three of them extremely close together. The one in the middle is very easily contaminated, which spoils everyone’s fun.

So females have to wipe very carefully, extra very carefully in different directions to prevent unpleasant consequences.

It takes a lot more paper to do this properly, and it is one of the very first things we mothers and grandmothers teach our little girls. We can’t just “shake” when we go from the front, and we can’t wipe “back toward front” in the rear, (must go the opposite way) being particularly meticulous in cleaning that area, which takes a lot more paper.

Does that help?

Regards this:

>>I disagree with your numbers.

Feel free to do so.

>>Let’s say, closed environment, various ages, 100 exposed,
>>9% down for the count, leaving 91. The 91 are going to be
>>two groups - the not-sick who aren’t going to get sick,
>>and the ‘cold’ level sick.

It does not work that way.

People pop sick after a SARS-Cov2 exposure between three and 30 days later.

Some 44% have long pre-symptomatic infectious period and 1.2% to 1.5% are asymptomatic super spreaders.

Given nine people sick, with four having long no symptom periods in a no-PPE and no-testing environment with 91 people sealed in with nine sick ones. All sharing the same public rest rooms that aerosolizing the fecal matter of the sick with every flush for up to 30 days. And some number of the sick spreading the SARS-Cov2 virus by aerosol before visible symptoms.

The average R(0) for each of the nine initial infected will be on the order of seven before they show visible symptoms and get removed.

Seven time nine is 63.

So you are really looking at 9 + 63 = 72 infected of 100 at that sealed in power plant of yours inside of 30 days.

Half of that 72 sick will fall in the last 5-to-7 days of the 30.

Let one of the high schoolers catch it from a box lunch kid or a box lunch kid gets it from a high schooler. Getting sick isn’t worth those cheapo lunches. Mama needs to get up before noon and start cooking for her brood.

Current CDC recommendations are for aerosol (e.g., use of negative pressure isolation), but if resources strained, then pivot to droplet and standard precautions.

OTR trucking has been relieved of driving limits in order to make sure products keep rolling. From a friend in the industry.
