New Zealand Says Everyone Entering Country Must Self-Isolate to Contain Coronavirus.

==

Isn’t NZ where a LOT of the elites have their dooms day bunkers?

Bezos, supposedly 0blama....has anyone seen either of these two, lately?

I wonder if Tom & Rita Hanks are self-isolating in Australia, so they can quickly enter NZ.

Hmmmm.

Your logic on Texas power fails in the face of the exponential disease growth curve.

One half of all disease cases happen in the last round of exponential growth.

There simply will not be enough well or recovered people to run all the natural gas peaker plants when, not if, the disease takes out the control room staff for Comanche Peak and STP nuclear plants.

The simple reason is half of all the power system staff who will get sick, will do so _AT THE SAME TIME_.

This is why the mantra “Flatten the Curve.” It’s not just for the medical staffs.

And because the electric power generation plants are strategic national assets. You simply CANNOT run the the remaining staff to death and risk long term damage to the power plants.

Rolling black outs will be the unavoidable reality we face for several months.

But none of those “free” meals will make it out to the rural kids.

This is from a friend who is a very reliable source on such issues, and he is a Freeper.
and why do you have to speak for another Freeper? FR etiquette says if you're going to talk about a Freeper, include their name in the 'TO".

first person or this is just more hysterical Panda Propaganda

Local food bank closed when the schools did, by existing policy. Food will be delivered to those in need by other means, according to the people running it. They were handing out extra in anticipation of it, but I don’t think it was more than a week or two they were doing that.

People are freaking out at supermarkets because of the realization that there may be a dearth of truck drivers able or even willing to drive to the stores.

DHEC investigates two possible cases of coronavirus in South Carolina, officials say
Cases are in Kershaw and Charleston counties
WYFF 4 Updated: 8:28 PM EST Mar 6, 2020
Grant Garland

Columbia, S.C. —

Health officials are investigating two possible cases of the COVID-19 virus in South Carolina, the state’s Department of Health and Environmental Control announced Friday.

Latest from DHEC | CDC website

Officials said the presumptive positive cases are not linked. One case is in Kershaw County and the other is in Charleston County.

According to authorities, one patient is an elderly adult woman from Kershaw County who has been hospitalized and is in isolation. The second patient is an adult woman from Charleston County who recently traveled to France and Italy. She did not require hospitalization and is self-isolated at home, DHEC officials said.

No more $$$$$ brick and mortar schools but they’ll figure out a way to raise our school taxes anyway.

>>When does the Harris Cty council get briefed on this power situation?

Check how many portable generators are available within your zip code on-line from Home Depot or Loews.

That will give you your answer.

Speaking of Amazon, a little while ago the website was really whacky. Most images would not display, etc. Other sites (well, only 3, NWS, Speedtest, and FR) seemed ok. I closed all browser windows, cleared browsing history, tried again - still weird on Amazon. Then, suddenly it was ok. It’s OK now. I have no idea... A big, brief spike in traffic, perhaps?

Potatoes question next, but I’m researching other stuff on Amazon still.... :-)
